    odd question

When I had my breast reduction he told me not to tan my scars for the first nine months following surgery, because they are more sensitive to the sun during this period and may tan darker than the surrounding skin. This darkness, if allowed to occur, may be permanent. Generally, it's safe to start using sunscreen on your incisions three weeks after surgery. Even if you are wearing a bathing suit, you should still cover your incisions with sunscreen during this early period of nine to twelve months. Tanning beds can be particularly injurious to your incisions, and this activity should be avoided completely during the first three months after surgery and always use sunscreen and cover your scars
  2. Ask your Cordinator. If its it's a script (as most are there, now) your dr can probably ok a prescription you can fill before leaving.
  3. No doubt in my mind... YES! So happy. I am healthier and my life doesn't revolve around food. I eat like all my family and friends.. Just less. I party with everyone, I travel, skiing again, and I move like I was to live life for a good long time. My weight and food is no longer controlling me. I am in control

  10. Yes.. I transferred too. I specifically bought flights that I would be walking a lot. I've had 4 surgeries in MX and the one I had the most pain was the one I didn't get to walk with.

    Hunger all the time

I think it's from drinking armadillos..
  12. My advice? Ditch the wheel chairs. You're sitting on a long flight the last thing you should be doing is sitting more when you could be doing your necessary walking. Everyone is alway talking about their fear of blood clots or the pain from the gas.. Yet they don't do their best to walk it away. Seriously.
  13. You look great.. Nice job!
  14. LOL.. Yes, my kids tend to greet me with, "seriously, Mom? And I know what's coming next
  15. Yep.. I'm sitting here in my baggy jeans and hoody that is way to big for me. It will take me a long time before I'm comfy with myself.. If ever :/
  16. That's greats.. Congrats! I can see your happiness by the way you're standing on your head

How did you not lose you jobs?

I'm not quite sure why you, as a teacher don't get paid during the summer, but I totally understand where you're coming from. When I first joined the forum and saw what most people have to go through to get approved, I asked the same question. Where do you all get the time off to do all the required pr-op crap? No way, I could do it. I am a retired jr/sr high school teacher and now I contract out to Microsoft/Google/Amazon and there's no way I could have taken so much time off and expected to keep my peeps. It's crazy!
  18. Whoa.. Someone needs to shake like a wet dog and get rid of the pessimism! I'm sorry you are feeling so depressed and hope you can obtain the help you need.. Either from a support group or here. Your mind set is all wrong We all went into this journey with the goal of weight loss for a healthier self. Not knowing how far post-op you are it's tough. I really hope things get better for you.

  21. This reminds me of what someone told me when I had my band removed. They said if you just keep your portion to the size of a coffee mug you should be fine. I looked at him and laughed.. You realize how much I could manage to stuff in a mug? I would stuff, press, stuff etc.. It's amazing the things we do Ok sorry.. This just made me think of that
