    POSE VS SLEEVE SURGERY

So we can assume To perform the incisionless POSE procedures, Drs. Thomas and Lavin used USGI Medical Inc.’s (San Clemente, Calif.) Incisionless Operating Platform (IOP) and a flexible endoscope to visualize the stomach. They inserted the scope and the IOP through the patient’s mouth and then used the IOP tools to grasp the stomach tissue and deploy suture anchors to create multiple tissue folds in the stomach wall to reduce its volume capacity. Ok..ok.. I had to do it sorry

    Leak test at Angeles?

I didn't have a barium. I can handle barium and have many many time for cat scans. For leak test the norm the MX surgeons use is Methylene blue.. WICKEDLY NASTY! It is used because it detects differently and more precise.

    POSE VS SLEEVE SURGERY

Maybe I'm naive on the subject, but it seems to me anytime blood flow is cut (or stapled/sutured) off this would cause an issue to the area being restricted. Someone clue me in if they can, please

    Leak test at Angeles?

LOL... I should just say "no comment" and spare you, but I have to warn you. It's the nastiest tasting crap I've ever had. Luckily, I only had to do a couple sips and they keep a container near for those who puke

    HERE IT GOES...

Ok, this is really OFF topic, but related. It's a new issue this days of women who regularly use a straw or water bottle (but especially a straw) that they are now getting smoker lips. You know, the vertical lines above the lips. I'm not quite sure how to avoid this when I have to forever drink my liquids.

    VSG Urban Legends

Yes, the more I read the forum the more I realize I'm very fortunate. But I was like this on all but one of my other 6 wls.. So, not sure why! I had one surgery that the shoulder pain was awful on the flight home. The only difference between all the surgeries is I took pain meds with the one and slacked at just getting up and going.
  14. I don't know the answer to that because I refuse to not make it work.

    VSG Urban Legends

This a not a legend... But it doesn't happen to everyone. I was completely normal when I woke from surgery and had a ton of energy. From that day on I have been on the go.. Even very active in MX and San Diego.. Nonstop. I went down there with the mindset that I didn't want to waste a mini vacation opportunity and did exactly that. Hopefully this happens to a lot of people.
  16. Oh ok.. Ya skeered me there! It definitely won't work for those who have a rough recovery, I guess. From what I read there are quite a few who are feeling awful and would not even be able to make it around TJ let alone off to another dr appt. I feel VERY fortunate

15 months sleeved- Hydration is key

You're awesome and thanks for sharing! I wish I could've done this 30 years ago like you. Congrats for almost to your goal
  19. Rice will (continue to) swell when in your stomach and you will become fuller than what you should be and in turn become very uncomfortable if not down right sick. Also white rice is simple sugar which stores as fat ...plus will be harder to digest compared to a better option of a fibrous rice like brown rice or jasmine rice. Even better would substitute with grated cauliflower, quinoa, or couscous

    nine months out and acid

I'm 4 months out and I'm just beginning to have a slight problem. Nothing bad, but noticable and I'm wondering if it's going to get worse.
  24. I got Botox and was extremely pleased. My Cordinator took my daughter and me one day.. I don't know how to recommend anyone because it was a dr friend of hers.
