When Does it Become Real?
Ms.AntiBand replied to Iniysa's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
LOL.. My flight left at 4 on a Thursday and I got my cashiers check at 1. I too was soooo miserable. I would have robbed someone else's account if need be -
no weight loss after 1st week...:(
Ms.AntiBand replied to Stayfitstayhealthyd2's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yep, just be patient. My longest stall was 7 weeks and from then on it's been just a pound here and a pound there. Some of us are slow so don't get disappointed .. It happens. Just work with it. In the end you still get where you're going -

When Does it Become Real?
Ms.AntiBand replied to Iniysa's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Pretty much.. LOL For me, it was when I had to go rob a bank (my own accounts, of course) -
Hah.. I didn't say I don't like the lattes and mochas.. Fact I used to love the mocha milk shakes. Obviously, to much! And yes.. You're my daughters age. Just hush

More restriction? I'm so confused
Ms.AntiBand replied to BlessedBeyondMeasure2012's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think many things have an effect on our restriction. Hot weather does me. It was almost 90 here yesterday and I could hardly eat a couple of bites any time I tried eating. Today I'm different -

Feeling REALLY down
Ms.AntiBand replied to NeverBeTheSameAgain's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Like everyone else has said.. It doesn't matter what our weight differences are.. In one way or another we're all the same. And in being here together we always find someone who can support us in whatever we need it in. We're all inspiring to some one regardless of what we weigh.. And I mean EVERYONE! -
Hang in there. Not losing is not a bad thing. Don't let someone else control you.. Especially the NEW you! Don't let them win.. You're the winner!

Anyone Have A Relatively Easy Recovery Story?
Ms.AntiBand replied to Birdy18's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgery was perfect. BUT EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT! If it was for my drain hanging around I wouldn't even know I had surgery. When I woke, I refused pain meds and was up walking. And never stop from that minute on. Not one issue! Well, except I was required to remain in hospital because that's the deal. I wanted out so I could go vacation and have fun. I did.. But had to wait for the second day. Recovery? Mine was way better than relatively easy.. It was perfect! -
Not sure if that question is to me, but I'll answer just in case. Basically, I can only eat a few ounces at a time. My meals I eat mainly protein which is basically carb free and then I snack on cheeses and I consider cottage cheese mixed with Greek yogurt as dessert. Like I said though, I can't eat much at all so sometimes it's just a few bites and I have to come back to it for a snack. I don't have hunger or cravings or I'd eat other things I'm sure. So far I've lost my appetite for sweets.. Including ice cream, which I would eat by the tub full.

Hang in there. Sometimes it can be slow, but if you try tweaking your current ways it might work. If you're like me.. A slow loser, then you just stick with it, stay positive & go forward

Ms.AntiBand replied to sleevedtelley321's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Isn't this journey fantastic! I love my sleeve too! -
Wait.. Why am I keeping my carbs under 30. I'm jealous! I gotta have me some cottage cheese and yogurt and I'm still under 30 if even close to that.

No fashion sense...where do I get some?
Ms.AntiBand replied to Afrodite82's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well.. Let's see. As I glance at myself and see my jeans and hoody.. I'm not the one to answer this question -
Going to Mexico for the Sleeve!
Ms.AntiBand replied to Onthegomom's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Trust me.. I hear ya! Congrats on your future surgery and welcome! -
I also agree with the others. I went on this journey on my own.. Those who support me are a bonus. I alone, set my mind to succeed and that will get me there Hang in there.. You're doing a great job already

Was that the only rude comment or is it a consistent thing? If it's just once maybe he was just being dumb? I'm really guilty of reading more into things my husband says.. Occasionally, I'm right on and I tell him what's up and make him understand it. Have you? He may be clueless.. Many are. Don't assume he can read your mind and how you feel. I don't know enough to be able to tell you to just toss his a$$ ..

My dad taught me to drink black coffee by saying you don't get a coffee break unless you drink coffee and he only had black coffee in his thermos. I've spoiled myself with torani though.. Carry it in my purse.

Veteran sleevers who were slow losers in the beginning
Ms.AntiBand replied to CoreyCan's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've been a slow loser since 2 weeks out. Sometimes with a several week stall. I don't focus too much on the scale.. Just my eating and it has to be sensible or I get depressed. Then occasionally a pound here or there sneakers away and surprises me. I'm just slow and I'm good with that I don't see myself dropping lots of poundage on a weekly basis like some do here.. Guess its not in the hand dealt to me.. But a healthy life was dealt to us all and I'm grabbin' and going with that -
