  1. Name calling should not be encouraged though..
  2. Umm.. Sorry to disappoint you, but it's not all about YOU!
  3. So what's your point of responding to this post? Simple to call others liars.. Because that's what you think? Is that a necessary response for what reason? Just to feel better about ourself? Your name calling serves no purpose whatsoever
  4. To the OP.. I apologize for the nay sayers demanding that they should be put on a pedestal .. Yanno.. Waaaay above us human failures? What they have to say has nothing to do with your question and contributes very little other than trying to make others feel less than them. You asked what others tell people in regards to their surgery without going into the wls details. Responding answer should have been kept to that subject alone. My apologies .. For their disrespect to you
  5. Dang.. Only in my dreams can I imagine being as perfect as you. Because I tell people I'm eating less and excercising I am forever going to simmer in purgatory.
  6. And y'all care what I/we say or tell others.. Why? Judge Not Lest You Be Judged
  7. People.. Don't forget you're food intake dictates your output. You are eating. Traction of what you did prior to surgery and so your BM routine will change also. It's not a bad thing to have a BM every couple days. As long as its not troublesome it's ok. Also remember that eventually your system will become dependent on laxatives so if you're having an actual problem always go with natural assistance like the some listed above. Flax seed is also a good daily helper.
  8. Great.. Glad things were fairly easy for you. Welcome to your new life!

    I want to cry...

Sounds like she read the latest "study" out there and she's pretending to be you're office know-it-all and at the same time belittle you. Blk her on fb.. Life is too short for people like that. ://www.americanownews.com/story/16057368/posting-pics-of-food-on-facebook

Need guidance. VSG to DS ?

Nope. This is the end of the road for WLS for me. I'm not going to fail on this. Having a back up plan with, "well, if the sleeve doesn't work, I have another option" my dieting life existed on excuses and my life is done with that. If I don't believe in my self now, I never will. I am going to be and I am going always continue to be successful. PERIOD!

    H. Pylori

I did years ago and had horrid ulcers too.
  12. It wasn't terribly painful.. But very awkward to move. The one thing I regretted was not having a pillow to ride home with.. So I stole one. I only used my meds for 24 at home. They have a tendency to knock me out and I was wanting to get up and out.. So I did.

    stairs?

Should not be a problem. Working your legs will be good for you. The more you more the faster you recover

    YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID!

Whoa.. Almost missed this topic! Dang it.. . Long day at work and I can't think of one snarky thing to say.
  15. Good luck everyone and speedy recoveries to y'all. Keep us posted
  16. No clue what STD paper work is but it doesn't sound good Returning to work depends on a a few things. What you do at work, how your recovery is going, if you continue your paid meds etc. Everyone comes out of this surgery in so many different ways. From absolutely zero pain or issues (me) to some who can't even move for weeks. It's a toss up on how you will feel and so I would arrange for the two weeks and go from there.

    Lap band

Heh.. Well, where do I start? My 2 daughters and I had/have the band and.. Daughter #1 lost weight and gained it back. Vomits frequently. Daughter #2 never lost a pound. Myself.. Well, this is where it can get ugly. I won't post the it because it's repetitive to most here. Please go to my profile and check out "my story" My story only highlights my life with the band.. If your mom needs me to I'll include the details of the hell I went though. Also, a good place to go is the lapband forum and search for complications. It's over run with disaster stories.
  18. Welcome to VST and many here are/have gone though the looooooong insurance process. I didn't, but I know how the band difficulties can be. Glad your going or the revision. Good luck!
  19. I hear ya! I had mine done 10 years ao and can't believe I waited so long. I was a 34 EEE and love riding horses, but no way was I going to with huge boobs 'floppin' around. You will be sooo happy and feeling sexy in your new bras Keep us posted!
  20. Yes, and unfortunately, someone fell for it on the duplicate thread
  21. Liquids and the first stages are pretty much slider foods and you won't feel the true full feeling until you eat normal foods.

    So upset

Always go with your gut feeling.. You wanted the sleeve then come hell or high water you get your doc to correct it. Chances are since it's his mistake he can rush it.
  23. Hang in there.. It will work out. Sometimes slowly and sometimes very quickly. Or just plain slooooooooooow like me.
  24. I had mine for less thn 24 hrs. And it should not be painful on removal. If it is then, well, the remover sucks! I have to laugh though because the feeling is just a weird that's that hard to explain. AND VERY QUICK! Piece of cake
