    Conflicting Stories from Doctors

I don't have any scientific facts that it stretches or relaxes or whatever, but I do know anyone can eat all the wrong things and gain weight. I'm five months out and could easily do it right now. If I wanted too I could eat empty calorie slider foods all day long. I don't have the desire nor will I allow myself to discover the truth about my stomachs ability to enlarge. No sir...eee. I'm done with the unhealthy fat me.
  2. Compared to the band... It's a piece of cake. No regrets at all. I'm 5 months out and wish I had this instead of wasting so many years sick and dying with the band

    My band has been evicted!

    CONGRATS! Enjoy you're new life

    Dr.Rodriguez!

I had him for my bands, but we couldn't coordinate a sleeve date that worked. He's a great dr and surgeon. You'll be pleased

    Any Seattle support groups?

Lots of us Seattle and WA sleevers. There's a couple groups and I know there's a support group that meets in the Fife area and as for the Seattle area I think for now it's limited to bariatric center support. No clue of they allow outsiders. It would be great to gathers without surgeon affiliation. Just search above and you'll find us
  8. I did encourage.. I sincerely believe, one can be successful, regardless of the size of the new stomach. None of us truly know our sleeve size.. So we work it. I didn't play dr.. But I did opine on it. And NO.. Drs don't always do what's best.. They are human and they made bad choices, too

    Does hunger come back?

I'm five months out and no hunger ...yet. How do you know if it's actual hunger or head hunger returning?

    Stupid stall

I don't think there's any magic trick to break the stalls. Try different things or just be patient. I don't believe you'd be losing any faster on you're own.. But you'd for sure be gaining it back when you gave up. Seriously, this isn't going to happen over night or in just a few months. It takes many months and you need to work it and stay positive. I'm a very slow loser but I am losing and that's what matters Use these stalls to get used to eating better and getting healthy. You will eventually get where you want.. But doing it correctly is way more important than how quickly you get there. Good luck!

    Enjoying the Sun and pool

Yes.. We lounged by the poolside and also did every touristy thing we could. They have a huge flea market area and beaches and lots of awesome places to visit ENJOY YOURSELF!
  12. A mess? I would want t know why it was a mess and why he proceeded to do a revision without proper healing first. Not all revisions can be done in one surgery. Ask more questions. And of course you can succeed with 60% removal. Sleevers are a variety of sizes. Mind over matter.. Be successful!

    Stupid stall

I had a 7 week stall and then just a pound here and there.. That's my weight loss. I've come to be ok with it. Sometimes, I just pretend I'm losing because I know I will. Be patient!

    How much

I'm five months out now and could eat more at four months than now. The added restriction has just happened over the last couple weeks. I'm lucky to get in 700 and most of that is slider yogurt and when I add cottage cheese to that it's just a few bites. I have to get back to FP and work on protein again.

    A day in my world...

Love this for my bro in law.... hahahahahaha OP.. Yes, sometimes you need to let it go in one ear out the other and yet, sometimes, not. If it was just a friend who said this then for sure, but if it was coming from someone you're considering spending the rest of your life with.. Then perhaps he needs to be set straight. Or like I like to call it.. "Enlightened" to what's up and what's going to happen with or without his support. So to make life easier for both of you he either gets on the band wagon or shuts up all together. We can't ever expect our SO to agree with every single thing we decide on.. But we can expect them to respect what we decide. Good luck and keep on your mission

    Feeling TOO good after surgery?

It's possible. Some of us wake up from surgery no different from before the surgery. (Other than lifting) my days were exactly as they were pre-surgery.. From the minute I woke up. Freak of nature I guess
