Has anyone ever felt.....
Ms.AntiBand replied to tampa's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Exactly.. Like everyone else, I know myself too well to know diets are easy.. But once I hit goal I'm right back on the yoyo track gain. Nada for me -
6 months out. Have always been able to drink like a horse without problem and when I do eat it's never more than the measured amt recommended by my dr. Fortunately, I don't have hunger, but heard it will return eventually

Fever four days out
Ms.AntiBand replied to thebearishere's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don't worry about getting anything in except water at this point. Hydration is first and foremost the most important. -
Good for you! By your next birthday you'll be able to go again.. Just not eating much. Oh, plus you'll look and feel a lot differnt by then

8 more days and I get to play with the big people in the Vet section Lalalalah ...

I'm sorry your having to go through all this.. I know it sucks. Because of my lapband damage which included ulcers and anemia I had to wait 18 months. Trust me when I say it's better to wait. I've seen where some drs go ahead and do surgery on no-so-perfect stomachs and they experience many medical issues in post-op Be patient and good things will come your way.

Myers Vitamin IV Infusion
Ms.AntiBand replied to cmor13's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Unless you have a major illness your insurance won't cover vitamin infusions and they get costly. Anywhere from $100 - $300 each. They are not FDA approved and are mostly used in trying to help cancer patients .. Or those wanting to pay for the service themselves. I think trying to stay up on simple OTC vitamins is cheaper and easier -
Exciting.. Congrats! Keep us posted

Tips for breaking my 3,4,5 week curse (i mean stall)
Ms.AntiBand replied to chinamama's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For me.. It was patience and just being happy I wasn't gaining. It works if given time and if you don't sweat over the stalls. Promise -
Positive thoughts, prayers, vibes etc for y'all needing it right now.. Bless the Lil ones you've got going on.. I love babies
-
Heh.. Just don't try this with protein or you're sleeve will protest BIG time. Slider food stage is easy to abuse so track it so you can continue to lose. Oh.. And I love the blk cherry chobani mixed with pineapple cottage cheese.. YUM!

Guilt is a good thing.. It's what helps us with doing what's right. Cynthia .. I agree that fitness pal is the best and you'll be surprised that most of the time your guilt is unfounded. Don't dwell... You're learning

3 Months post surgery today and loving my sleeve!
Ms.AntiBand replied to newat52's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Ain't it great! I don't know how to explain it, but it is like something just switch, clicked or farted and my mind is totally into this new lifestyle. I've had no trouble adjusting or accepting the new ways I now live. From the minute I went into surgery I've been high on my new life and could never be happier. I don't know what did it. My only regrets are I wish everyone's journey could be like this and that I wish I could have done this in my youth. But.. I'll take what I have because I am a very happy person. Congrats on your progress.. You're awesome! -
I agree.. "Ditch the doc"! Glad you can move on to another one. Most, but not all PCP's are supportive because they're the ones who have educated themselves enough to know the advantages of proper WLS. Good luck

Ms.AntiBand replied to regner's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
There's no law or ethics to regulate this.. Just insurance requirements -
BMI 32 pre- op. Any thoughts?
Ms.AntiBand replied to regner's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
When I decided to get the sleeve my BMI was 18.4 but had to wait to heal from lapband damage. In the waiting process my BMI jumped significantly to 33 something. We all have our reasons and whether you are a low or high BMI.. We're all wanting the same goal. To reach a healthy and happy weight. Good luck. -
You can sleep anyway your sweet Lil ass will letcha Seriously though.. As long as you're comfortable it doesn't matter how or where you sleep. I was fine on my sides from the get go others aren't.

Anyone with 180 pounds doing the sleeve?
Ms.AntiBand replied to bashmom's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was 190 at surgery time and I'm 5'3". You'll have to check my ticker because I don't remember what my weightloss stats are, but I think I can get close to first goal of 135 this summer.
