  2. You're going to lose however much you want to lose. The procedure is not what decides on the success rate.. It's you. Set your mind right and your body will respond. This is a lifetime change not an overnight shrinky dink project Good luck.. You're weight loss is amazing!
  3. That's less than what we pay and we don't have any more kids at home. We pay 750 and our employer pays 750.. It's hard to do, but it's a have to thing in life
  4. 6 months on the 14th. Absolutely love it!

    XXX rated super serious question!

Heh.. like any consumption after vsg you need to get your new stomach used to it. With time it will adjust
  7. Nope. I went by specific drs that I would consider. Hospitals/facilities are open about drs death/complication rates. I narrowed my search down then when the stats cut out any WA docs compared to MX I was even more confidant in returning to MX to one of the few drs I picked. The biggest factor was their experience and then death rate and the complication rate from leaks. Other complications weren't my biggest concern because so many factors are in relation to the patient alone.
  8. EXCTLY! I consider this a HUGE factor! This was my #1 factor in researching drs in the states and MX
  9. I should say I want my body and MIND to get used to it.
  10. I stick to my normal routine that I want to live by the rest of my life. I'm ok with stalls and gradual loss over quick weight loss. I want my body to know this is it.. Get used to it! Patience is my best friend

what is the big hype with greek yogurt?

Theres quite a few regular yogurts high in protein (14 grams), now. I eat chobani because it's the only high protein that comes in blk cherry. I mix it with pineapple cottage cheese.. It's my daily lunch or dinner I saw on food network that greek yogurt is regular yogurt with the water removed

    Voluntary Pre-Op diet?

I had a three day pre-op diet, but started way early because I did the idiot food funeral and ate myself sick of food and couldn't stand to eat any longer. worked ok in the long run because I still can't stand eating. Just no interest in it. I used to be a huge pigger with food.. Makes me sad just remembering it.

Cheers to you, Dimples.. If you've ever been on a diet before this is different... It's A LOT more rewarding!

    Too big!

Yippee.. A NSV! Funny how being called frumpy is a compliment for us.

    I need reassuring. ..

I'm assuming your very recently post-op? Focus on hydration only...First and foremost. At this stage don't worry about protein because protein won't matter if you become dehydrated. You get dehydrated and everything gets messed up. Smart water is plain water with electrolytes. With such little water consumption and diarrhea you are quickly going to dehydrate. Water, water, water. Keep us posted

working through the pain... how do you folks do it?

Don't push yourself too much. I couldn't do much at all because my knees hurt so bad. I will eventually have to have knee replacement, but before I lost a good bit of weight I had to really ease into a walking routine. Start off little and just add a little more each time, but never enough to cause pain. Muscle aches are good but joint and ligament pain is not.

    Tropical protein pops

Yum.. I want one, but don't want to make them

    Has anyone ever felt.....

I was felt normal right after surgery and would have gone back to work right away. I had already scheduled 3 weeks off and it was Christmas time so my daughter and I enjoyed a MX vacation and time in San Diego and then through the new year. I went, but I didn't go skiing with everyone because I figured that was pushing my luck. You'll do great!

    Wendys salad (berry)

That sounds yummy! I'll keep it in mind when needing on the go ideas. I too, tend to eat around the lettuce and just a bite or so of lettuce. Lettuce is just green water and I get enough water every day

Pain today after no pain at all!

It could be several things. First, are your BM's regular? Could be a back up of sorts And I'm serious.
