  1. Bwahaha.. Wouldn't that be like us assuming all Texans are assholes? *rolls eyes*
  2. I agree, Laura. For many years I was a medic for a huge city and there is certainly nothing substandard in regards to our medical treatments.. We are way above any possible treatment worldwide. However, In my research AND AREA of the country I did not find this correct with WLS. Plus, since because I've had so many wls here and in MX it's a personal choice for me that I prefer my specific surgeon in MX. Not saying I prefer any surgery in MX, but for wls it's my first choice. I really do wish we had a corner in the forum that everyone could rate and describe a specific dr so that we could all have access to more personal knowledge of drs in all areas of the US too. That would bet a good thing
  3. It's a wonderful thing that it's most MX surgeries are butterflies and rainbows.. Mine certainly was and I've said it many many times. Whether patients of US drs chose to journal theirs is a choice.. Or, is it because it's not all rainbows and butterflies? See, assuming doesnt get anyone anywhere. Sheesh..!!
  4. That's pretty naive to group all posters as a dr affiliated script. Not nice at all.
  5. Right.. I believe those who come here and their one or few posts are strictly about a particular dr is ...well, not the one others should rely on for their research. Although, I know one Cordinator is a ongoing member, but she's slacked off a bit since we called her out on it. I think she "lurks and seeks" BEWARE of pms that you didn't initiate. If some one is boasting about a dr make sure you're first talking publicly in the thread and then YOU pm them. Don't let others come seeking you. If its first in the public then others can help spot a Cordinator or $ maker. And this is for all surgeons.. Not just MX. Perhaps in the future the forum can clean/clear this issue up

    Endoscopy

Oh wait.. Unless you're worried they will find something.. But then there's still nothing to worry about because worrying won't help. Be positive

    Endoscopy

There's nothing to worry about. They (should) put you to sleep and you wake up after. I love endoscopies.. I love the sleep
  8. Well they need staff to weed, gather and put things in their right places
  9. Hey.. I have a g/f who back in the early 70's broke her arm while partying in TJ and they actually did give tequila while they set it! Trust me.. This was 40 years ago.
  10. I agree some are for profit and it wasn't too long ago that an US dr and helper/Cordinator/staffer posted on the forum too. There's no way to weed them out, but I'd like to see them to be limited to a thread for the particular dr. It would aid in all aspects of research. Naming your dr helps others.. Even in the states. That way if someone is considering yourparticular dr they can contact you for your opinion. I wish more US patients would assist other in researching. BUT in an originzed manor and not all over the forum.

    Not again...

whatever works is a good thing!
  12. Is this a double post.. And if so, why?
  13. Maybe because patients going to MX research individual drs for a long time before choosing a specific dr. Reading others experience on a particular dr is very informing. I don't know why more US patients don't seek out others who have used their dr. When I researched WA drs it was hard to find very many patients willing to share their experience. For the WA drs I researched I found more journaling on complications vs acceptable experience. Not to say there aren't great experience out there.. Just didnt find enough on particular drs so that I could talk to person to person with them.
  14. Seems strange. I know some like to let others know so that it can be part of the research for others. BUT.. I like how my drs patients have put all their info under "all things Dr Ponce" and it's all there. No individual thread/forum advertising and stuff. I think the forum should limit the threads specifically under a drs name instead of a gazillion threads. IMHO of course.

    Living without food

No, I don't think she is at all. She's a very intellectual person... Just not a smart one. It will be interesting to know just how long she'll last. What ever the outcome she will most likely have something other than the lack of food as her excuse for failure.

    Living without food

    Recovery from Band Removal

I gained 86 in 18 months. It definitely showed me that's had a serious food addition and if I didn't change for the healthy part of losing weight I was doomed for life

Theme parks! But i cant ride now :(

Have you been checked out by our dr? Low BP isn't always a sign of good health. When my BP goes down I know I'm seiously anemic. It's in my medical history. My normal BP is 120/80 so any drop I'm required to seek medical attention.
  22. It's ll n the price. I have family that is going back and we're using my Cordinator, Trish.. Because she's awesome. She's included in the price as well as transportation, hotel etc. Less stress and hassle.
  23. 6 months post-op and not hungry. I admit, ocassionlly I find myself eating from head hunger, but not often. Just remember regales of your appetite, you need to get you fluids in and Protein second.
