Lightweights in the house! Any more people with less to lose/less BMI's?
Ms.AntiBand replied to MumtazG38's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Not brave.. Very very vain and naive to the harm I was doing to myself. They actually had to sedate me when I was told they were removing my band forever. And had to keep me sedated for 5 days. Soooooo glad my healthy mind is here. Off to my 15 mile bike ride.. Love my sleeve -
Prior To my surgery I requested no pain to be given to me. I wanted to hurry and recover and I knew that narcotics hinder the process. I was up and out of bed walking tha halls as soon as I woke up. Even if you have a bit of pain thy can give ou what you need via IV or orally. Don't depend on a pump ..

Congrats on our decision and welcome!

Glad your doing ok. Please walk walk walk your pain away. It's the only way to quicken the recovery

He really didn't say why, but I'm guessing he doesn't want me to fall into the same mind set I did with the band. I ignored my health and loved being skinny and was willing to give my life for it. Down deep I knew I was dying, but being thin meant more. He doesn't want me near that again Fortunately, it's different this time and I'm so into healthy .. I love it! Plus, I'm almost 56 so 130 is an ok weigh for an old lady -

I'm 5'2" I had band surgery 5 times and was prohibited from any more surgery until healed and never to have band again. My weight prior to lapband was 160 lbs I got down to 104 because any food I managed to eat came back up. I didn't digest anything. I would even vomit if I swallowed my own saliva. The band sucked the life out of me. More on my profile story. I'm happy and healthy now and slowly getting to goal. Last week dr told me not to set my goal at 125 so I raised it to 130. -
It all depends. It's different for everyone. Mine was like going to the dentist and waking up.. As if nothing was done. A soreness like I did sit ups but nothing other than that. The pain can range from 0 to 10 for people. It's a huge variety and you ne er know what you're going to get. Always try for mind over matter and maybe it will work.

Has anyone taken PHENTERMINE after vsg?
Ms.AntiBand replied to minnie78's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Nope. I'm done with abusing my body. -
" I'm depriving myself of good health by drinking it" EXACTLY! Soda pop has nothing good about it.. Other than its taste it's a waste!

Yes. Took 18 months and many more endoscopies before I was cleared. I was a mess with bleeding ulcers in my esphogus and stomach, and I was severally anemic

Good luck and I send prayers and good vibes your way! Oh and sweet dreams, too

I walk... A lot. Sometimes many many miles a day. And if I don't walk I'll bike. But that's it. Unless I count getting my ass out of bed, I don't lift weights. Or unless I can count sitting indian style during reading circle I don't do yoga or unless I count doing the hokey pokey, I don't do Zumba either. And it's extremely very unlikely I ever will do anything other than walking and biking. Walking and biking is something I see myself doing forever and so that's what I'm using to get healthy skinny Do what you know you will be doing forever. Make it something.. But not nothing.

14 weeks out and i think im stalling :-(
Ms.AntiBand replied to Kitkat101484's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had a 7 week stall and many other stalls. Just be patient, but if you can't then tweek a few things in your diet/excercise routine and see if that helps. Stalls happen.. Hang in there -
I took mine at hospital.

There is no problem finding after care drs in the states. There may be a few in the entire country who refuse, but then I wouldn't want them anyway. I've been treated by several US bariatric surgeons in regards to my MX surgery and I've never heard of any PCP refusing to attend to MX patients after care. -
Eewww... So gross and so yucky tasting!
