    Lets get real here.

I'll get real and be the mean one. If I ate mac and cheese post op I wouldn't be as close as I am to my goal. It's taken soooo long to get where I am and I've stayed away from crap food.. Can't imagine where I'd be if I ate things like Mac n cheese. I'll treat myself to small delights after I get to goal, but I didn't get sleeved so I could eat like I did with my prior lifestyle. In order to succeed .. I had to change my old eating habits to healthy ones. To answer you question.. in my opinion, when you hit goal. Best of luck to you

    Regrets

Has your surgeon dx why you're always sick to your stomach? Why is going out such a issue?
  3. I was out of control and gained 10lbs.. Maybe I would be at goal now if I wasn't so careless .. Grrr

    Need advice for sugar addiction

I agree with Newat52. The only way is to cleanse your body of the sugars so that your body/mind won't crave them. Once you're at that point you won't even miss it. It's hard the first few days, but it's easy after that.

    Wanting to cry

I wasn't emotional, but if someone gave me chocolates I would have gone postal and threw them in the trash in front of them. Seriously? What was she thinking? So rude and thoughtless.
  7. I know the closer I get the slower I lose, for sure. Hopefully, I can hit goal before a year, but I know it's going to take extra work.

    Frozen Yogurt

Yes. I took a friend and while she had her fav I had a sample cup of what I wanted.

    Bowel Movements

Don't forget that you only eliminate the amount you take in. You no longer eat enough to "have to" have an everyday BM. If you know you are in need of a BM then, yes, miralax at the min dose to begin with will help.
  13. I used to be an ice creamaholic and now I don't care for it. I use to eat a ton of eggs, but don't have a big desire for them anymore either.

    iron infusion

It's like when I got blood transfusions.. I left feeling like a new person because I was healthy again. For awhile anyway
  15. I order the BBQ pork appetizer and ask that they bring it with the meals. I always have leftovers to take home... Unless my son or husband is with me and in that case it's history before we leave the place ;D

    iron infusion

With my lapband I had weekly infusions through a permanent port in my chest. I had NO side effects at all and you shouldn't worry. Get healthy!

    medicaid while married?!?!?!

Sorry OP.. You can have your topic back. I'm bewildered atm

    medicaid while married?!?!?!

I still find it hard to believe that Medicaid covers insured people! I thought it was for hardship cases ONLY! No wonder the system is so far in the hole! I know families who have NO insurance and less than part time income who don't qualify for ANY medicaid coverage. SMH..

    medicaid while married?!?!?!

Your family has a job plus insurance AND still qualify for Medicare? How is this possible?

    Big Question

I haven't told anyone other than husband, kids and boss. I've had no problems and no one asks me about my loss. Most see that I'm eating less, walking daily miles and biking so to them it's obvious I'm working on being healthier.
  22. I have claimed all my surgeries in MX and the US. Never had an issue and I use an accountant.
  23. My insurance plan states it does not cover WLS or anything related. Unfortunately that also means life saving measures due to WLS. My lapband complications cost me $100,000 and they wouldn't even allow it under medical necessity even though I died twice.. And obviously revived Be prepared that your carrier will not cover complications if it's stated in the policy.
  24. This is good news.. I had a terrible time when researching in my area of the country
  25. I believe if you try hard enough you can find out what you need about a MX surgeon. Here in the states.. I have no clue how you could do it.
