  1. My dr did the during surgery leak test and then the one post so that I can watch and leave knowing .. Yep, no leak. Plus, I thought it was pretty cool seeing my new Lil' tummy! Barium sips were pretty nasty though
  2. Oops.. Never mind,I should have checked your profile first :-)
  3. I'm from WA also .. Seattle area if you're close and need anything

    Rude and angry Forum !

Well... You know what I mean :-P
  5. I was freezing before my surgery and now I'm much worse.. Never thought it possible. I've read the same thing as above, but I don't expect I'll to ever be warm... And I drive my family nuts!
  6. I would say just let the surgeon know of your recent surgery and he will decide what is the safest time.

    Rude and angry Forum !

An entire forum of gathering dieters tend to be cranky? Nahhh say it ain't so!
  8. Yep I have to agree about the gas being painful. My worst pain was in my shoulder. Congrats on your surgery and good luck!
  9. If you're on any medication I would make sure someone has at least daily contact with you. Whether via phone or n person. Even if not on meds, a phone check in call is always a good idea. When I was a medic with a large city ambulance company we had more of these types of urgent responses than some would realize. Not common, but nothing to turn a blind eye to. Otherwise you will probably enjoy the down time and be back to normal before you know it. Good luck on your new healthy journey

    Travelling alone

I think it just depends on the person and how they feel after surgery. The drs and staff are very attentive to you needs so it's not really necessary to have a companion, but loved having my daughter around and we went shopping and sightseeing and as much as possible.. And a little Botox and poolside fun too! Loved my time down there and will be returning again. Good luck and have fun in the sun!

    RIP Lappy ;(

Sheesh.. I envy y'all for being able to get the band so quickly after bnd complications. I had to wait for 18 months do to the damage the band caused. I guess there's a reason for everything.

    All of my December sleevers...

    Iv Site

I took out my IV after the third one failed, but that's a norm for me so I expected it. I ended up with phebitis any way, but I always do. Go to your PCP and get antibiotics and topical anti-inflammatory script. I'm 7+ weeks out and my arm still hurts to touch.

    Ya'll weren't lying!

Mine is going past 4 weeks... UGH! I think I'm losing inches though.. Just not where I want to lose

    Lost my padunkadunk?

I agree.. You look awesome with a perfectly round butt! Lucky you!
  19. Sheesh...Kendra, really? As I said before, some are lucky with the pain and some are not. As you can read in my original post.. I'm ecstatic that I was fortunate to be pain free through my surgeries. Because of being pain free it would be ridiculous for me to want it. I sincerely apologized if my words were taken wrong... because I certainly didn't mean it that way... Why are you dragging it out to be something it's not?
  20. I don't know if I see any real "beating" I read it more on the line of people expressing their opinion In order to figure things out. Perhaps, not very gracefully or with kind mannerism, but dang, this is a forum and surely y'all know that this is reality. As much as we wish for all candy and cupcakes in life.. It isn't so. It's impossible to have this amount of opinions and expect agreement and niceties .. Just let things go and don't take it personally.
  21. Well, I know I commented on this post, but don't remember my exact words. I don't think you should overread peoples opinions. They're just that. Most of the time things are taken wrong simply because they are just words without a clue to sentiments. I went into this surgery expecting the worst, but didn't get it. Some are lucky some aren't for whatever reason we may never know. Again, sorry if you think our responses were rude.. I don't think they were meant to be, at least mine weren't. I just gave my side like you did so to aid in others perspective of the possibilities during recovery
  22. I apologize if I have ever come off as rude. I must add though, this whole issue is so strange whatever the situation is I'm soooo curious to know what has gone on. Regardless of fault or circumstances ... I think we'll learn something for sure. ESPECIALLY if a dr is at fault.. But I also hate to see any professional trashed without more info.

    which surgery

My daughters have the band and one weighs over 300 lbs the other is doing ok, but is saving her money for sleeve this summer. The fills run near $300 where we live and the vomiting is a sure bet. On a more negative aspect of the band read my profile story. So far the sleeve is a God send, but I'm only 7 weeks out so, we'll see. Good luck!
  24. That was one of my many thoughts also. I just assumed I missed something... I am VERY curious to find out what's going on with the OP.
  25. Eating in the hospital? All I got was ice chips until my third day and that was after I left hospital. Something isn't right.
