Same topic, but totally different perspective. My 6 month old grandson is the size of a 18 month old ( his daddy is 6'9") and my daughter was concerned that his Lil' penis seemed to be disappearing ... ? Dr said it's normal for this to happen with large babies, but once he grows to normal proportions he will be happily pleased. I guess being properly proportioned has its benefits

This is quite different than going home to a house full of kids and back to a hectic life.

I have a difficult time understanding why some patients are released so early! Hopefully you have lots of help at home and can just getting rest and walking in.

Get another opinion and it's not to early to consider an alternative WLS. Don't wait until you have major issues like I did. Check my profile story out. If you are having issues and wait to long you won't be able to go directly from band to sleeve. I had to wait 18 months because my symptoms were ignored and did major damage and nearly cost me my life.

Trust me.. You don't have the suckiest in-laws.. I DO, or did. They have passed away and I seriously doubt they are resting in peace. I spent 30 years in in-law hell and it didn't matter what my husband said to them. What ever he said, they would blame that on me, too. Nothing matter.. It was always my fault! No in-law knows of my WLS .. Uh uh.. No way! In their eyes, If you're overweight you're not perfect. Ok, rant over Back to OP If you don't want to tell anyone then don't. I told kids and husband ONLY. No plans to telling anyone. I don't want to tell, therefore, I'm not. Simple. It's my life and there it is.

Sure there may be fictitious patients claiming great things about the dr, but at the same time it would be impossible to not have other patients of the same dr not say something. From what I've seen every dr has very satisfactory reviews. I've never read anything negative (except one). I personally believe the care in MX is way above satisfactory if not excellent. Both in dr/staff professionalism and patient care

I add Milo or other flavored drops ( squirts) to my electrolyte enhanced water. I dislike plain water so this is a lifesaver for me. No calaries, caffeine, or carbs!

If you search the forum for those drs they should have a thread specially for them with the info you're looking for. I'm pretty sure everyone is going to have rave reviews of their MX dr. I've only heard of one dr with a poor review so just do your research and you'll find what you need. Good luck!

Yep, my PCP is also supportive of my MX surgeon. It just sucks that my insurance won't pay anything if its even close to WLS care. Luckily, my PCP is good

Same here, but today is a bit worse. I have to make myself eat. I just don't want to put something in my mout other than water.

I can't believe how long the insurance companies make most wait for approval and then ask for more from you. I'm surprised people don't give up and not do it... But then I wonder if that's what the insurance companies hope you do. GRRR ...

Regardless of where I got my surgery my lame a$$ insurance won't pay for any follow up or complication. Even if I was dying they say, "nope, sorry ... die or self pay" Price wasn't my only reason to go to MX. I've had experience with MX surgeons and they seem to have a pride in their care mannerism that I haven't found in the states.
