Sleeved Nov 5th started 377 and now down to 317. All is well

I was sleeved on the 5th with no complications. Im down 54 pounds and have been cleared to eat anything since three weeks out. I stick to straight protein when I have my meals and substitute a protein shake when I am not able to consume a meal or achieve my protein goal of 120 grams. I have notice if I don't hit my fluid goals it gets harder to eat a meal the following day. I haven't hit a stall yet unless you call only being down 2 pounds for one week. Life has been great and I feel wonderful.

Is anyone else having problems getting the samples to dissolve? I currently buy the chocolate truffle in the tub and its never an issue. So far I have opened two packs and they are real clumpy.

This is 2012 right? I can't believe that they are keeping you awake. Mine was great. He gave something to mellow me out as soon as he got to my preop room and the in the operating room he knocked me out and woke up with no pain in my throat or lungs. I'm sorry

My decision was pretty simple after hearing that my brother had his band slip on him and a good friends body rejected her band (it started eating away at her stomach). Weight loss is right away with the sleeve. You have to understand that it is a life long choice whether or not u get the band or the sleeve. I wouldn't have it any other way. I am 2 day away from being a month post-op and I am down 37 pounds and feel great. My favorite part about it that I'm never hungry. Good luck with whichever you decide.

I am also a male and around the 350 mark. I was sleeved three weeks a go and so far so good. What was your gym schedule like and when did you start going to the gym? Good job

My life changed on the 5th and I feel almost the same way as you. I have a deal with myself that I wasn't going to weigh myself until I was a week into normal food (end of week 4). Your body has to adjust to what has happened to it and its not fair to you and your emotions while this process is going on. Good luck

Which one has 50 grams of protein? The ones I see have between 20 and 25 per serving?

I'm ready for the 5th. I was fortunate enough not yo have to go on a pre-op diet so I have been living life as normal. I live 10 mins from the hospital and have purchases everything possible.

I just got my call from the hospital this afternoon. I have to be there Monday morning at 6:30am. I am the first of the day!

I am looking to see if there are any other males having surgery on 11/5? Just want someone to compare with.

I know how you feel. Paperwork was submitted on Sept 25th with an October 22nd surgery date. Got word on the 15th my physc eval was out of date so I went the next day and faxed it right away. They didn't have it approved by the 19th so I had to reschedule the surgery to November 5th. I finally got the approval so I'm ready to go!

My job is giving out free flu shots on Monday but I not sure if I should get one. Monday will be exactly one week before my surgery and I am not sure if I can. Anyone have an answer?

I can fit one of the "casnio" size bottles of water in my pocket if I had to. A camel pack is not a bad idea.....
