I had my surgery 31 Oct 12. Had a few bumps along the road but they were all expected, so much easier to deal with! I have lost 56 pounds post op and could not be happier. Of course I would love to loose more in that time frame, but I cant help but feel like one of the lucky ones!! I actually was able to have this surgery . Im starting to loose my hair, but again I was prepared for that and as much as dont want to loose my hair its just a temp side effect that will go away. I have always said I was going to shave my head because it is easier maybe now I will!! I can handle any type of food with no problem... Again I am one of the lucky ones!!!

I want a bite of everything! But I think I am to afraid to get anything crazy lol!
-
So tomorrow I am 1 month post op and I get to start normal food! I am so excited but so scared. Im down 40 pounds since my surgery on Oct 31st.

So my surgery is officially a week away. I am currently in my pre-op diet which I am struggling with. I am so ready to get this going but at the same time I cant help but think why am I doing this to myself?? This is a elective surgery!! What if something happens??? Then I keep telling my self this IS NOT an elective surgery for me. I am 29 years old and can barely walk because of 2 back surgeries which is why I gained all the weight. I was told if I loose the weight it will take the pressure off my back and I can start living again. If I keep going like this I will be on disability with in the next year or so. I AM TO YOUNG FOR THAT!!

All done all my requirements and the doctors office submitted my package to BC BS of North Carolina last week. Heard today that they need a single doctors visit from 2011 to verify my weight and a thyroid test. I'm READY! Tired of this waiting game and all the hoops! Just wondering if they will keep coming back with additional requirements after I get them the records and have my thyroid test???
