Just wanted to share a tasty vanilla Protein drink, Performance whey (Vanilla Shake) from Optimum Nutrition. Available at costco and The Vitamin Shoppe. No protein taste. My nutritionist recommended it. I just love it. -

What factors dictate "fast" and "slow" losers?
DayByDay replied to JessicaAnn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Height, muscle mass, and the amount you have to loose have a lot to do with weight loss. However each person is different. I am a slow looser, always have been. But I tend to loose inches first. All you can do is what your doctors/nutritionist tell you to do and be patient. The weight will come off. Keep your expectations in check. I was sleeved 1 month ago and lost about 10lbs, which is great. Some people have lost at least double that. I've dropped almost two sizes. Here is a great article on stalls, this really helped me not to freak out. Good Luck. http://www.dsfacts.com/weight-loss-stall-or-plateau.html -
2nd day of Optifast
DayByDay commented on Lifewithoutbounderies's blog entry in Lifewithoutbounderies' Blog
I agree (Yuck), a lot like drinking dirt. Try using Sugar Free Torani Syrups, that did the trick for me. I also got headaches, mainly because I was dehydrated. So drink a lot of water. I did Optifast for almost a year so you can do this. The first few days are the worst. Then it gets better. -

Congrats. You look wonderful. -
Try unjury chicken Soup. It is amazing. A bit expensive but so worth it. The Protein helps keep the tummy full. One tip, don't get the Water too hot otherwise it gets clumpy. You can do this!

It could also be dehydration. There are times I wake up and feel just horrible, once I start drinking Water I feel so much better. I takes about an hour for it to start working. So I have started to sleep with a water bottle next to me. If I wake up I take a sip of water. Since I have been doing that, my mornings have been better.

23 Days Post-Op. Back to work. Headache & Fatigue. Please help
DayByDay replied to rxkid2384's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I agree drink Water. I struggle with this also. Never seems like I can get enough. Yes you can take children's Tylenol. I spoke to the pharmacist and he told showed me the amount to take for adults. 4 to 6 teaspoons every 4 to 6 hours. Double check with your Pharmacist before you take, just in case I got this wrong. I went back after 1 week. It was a rough road but I made it. -
I have so been in your situation. My heart goes out to you. My husband ran up a huge debt (3 times). Each time I bailed him out. I always found a way to pay it off. The fourth was the final straw. He actually wanted to pull our daughter out of Private school (it wasn't that expensive) so he could buy his toys and quit his job. He wanted to go from making a nice wage to minimum wage. I said fine, after he paid off the debt. He refused. And I moved out. I was done. So sick of having the same argument. I can't speak to your situation, but I will say leaving him was the best thing I did for me an my daughter. I left with $200 in my pocket. Sucked up my pride and moved back in with my parents and got my degree. I still got stuck paying the bills (everything was in both our names). It took me 8 years to pay off "his" $25,000 credit card debt. But I did it. Me any my daughter are much happier for it. Good luck to you, what ever you decide.

I'm from Seattle/Mercer Island. Just curious as to your doctor and cost (if you don't mind sharing). Looks wonderful. How much time off from your recovery. -

12 pounds in 1 week, how wonderful. A fun thing I like to do is go to my closet and start trying on clothes. Always makes me feel better. I have a suit that I haven't been able to wear since 2008. Felt wonderful to finally be able to button that blazer. Just to let you know I was sleeved weeks ago and have yet to hit that 12lb mark. I've lost about 8lbs. (I lost about 48lbs before I was sleeved. So I will loose at a slower rate.) And I do miss my morning lattes. Take a moment to be happy about 12lbs, Celebrate it.
