Calling all pre-op Phoenix and valley pre-sleevers.....I would love to shout from the rooftop. Dr. Daniel Fang is awesome. My surgery was completed in about 45 minutes and I feel wonderful. I am day 3 post op and ready to take on the world. Cheers!

What is the weight loss difference? -
Sleeved 2/19, down 32lbs. Yesterday, I stood and looked at myself in the mirror and I cried. I cried because I can see the contours of cheek bones. I cried because I have one roll and not two stomach rolls. I cried because I have a range of clothes in my closet from 22-14 and the 18's are almost too big. I didn't even try 16 yet. I cried because I am worth it and to have a boyfriend who doesn't compliment me because he is scared of losing the fat woman has given me confidence.

8 days post op and I am not hungry but I realize I am losing my mind because I miss chewing. I don't miss food but chewing. Last night and a couple of other nights....I have taken bites of the dinner I made for my family and chewed until it was complete mush and went to the trash car and spit it out. Then I rinsed my mouth and brushed my teeth. I felt so much better. I didn't miss the food. I missed the actual chewing. Yes, it is consuming a few calories but I will take it for my sanity. Cheers -

buffythefatslayer replied to buffythefatslayer's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Many probably disagree with this but I found I am not really wanting to swallow the food....so...I take a bite...chew and chew and then I spit it out in the trash. I know many will disagree but it help me at first and now I am fine. -

I find that capsules get stuck but I try to use mind over matter to force it down with Water. And then I try to tell myself that its not really stuck in my esophagus, its in my imagination. After a couple sips of water and not thinking about it....I feel fine. Good luck. -
