I am 4 pounds away from getting out of the dreaded 200's. I can't wait. Sleeved on 9/17 at 267 & now at 203. So thrilled. I really want to see the number 199 so badly! I wish I did this ( or even knew about this kind of surgery) years ago. Just felt like sharing.

I would kill for diarrhea! Constipation sucks !!
-
.....sorry - minky, not Winky - stupid phone!
-
Thank you Winky. I will try that. I started taking fiber-con pills, but they worked for one day. I dread going because of the hassle but I will try the powder. Thanks....

We are all so friggin awesome & deserve all the good things that are happening to us! Yay us!! Lol.... -
With me - its hit or miss with eggs so I tend to stay away from them. I know it's a great source of protein, but I never know if it'll be one of those times when it won't agree with me....good luck!

Almost out of the 200's!
cmaloney replied to cmaloney's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes! That's exactly what I do. Up the calories for a bit and the weight comes off. I really don't have any tips because I feel like you really can't help but succeed ( at least that's my personal feeling on it). A few bites and I'm done! I just make sure that the bites I take are protein based. Thanks guys! -

Congrats! Best thing I ever did. You'll be in my thoughts. Good luck... -
I think I'll try the bene fiber. I can't keep drinking milk of magnesia very day. Fiber gummies don't seem to help. I'm hoping its worse because of all the meds & codeine cough meds I'm on for bronchitis...

New Special K Protein Cereal...
cmaloney replied to Vidalia's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Taxicone - I was sleeved on 9/17. Down 64 pounds. For some reason my stomach is more sensitive in the morning, so I can tolerate the cereal or a protein drink. Eggs kinda turn me off right now. -
Just want to say to all of my fellow sleevers & future sleevers -a very Healthy & Happy New Years & I've gotten the best advice & support from all of my new friends. Really appreciated... Lets all have an awesome year!

I also eat this every day at work. Very simple & easy & a great source of protein. -
What I wouldn't give for loose stools! 4 months out & I also had IBS before surgery. That has changed. I'm lucky if I go 2-3 times a week! Just bought some milk of mag. It should change soon....good luck!

Don't know if anyone has experienced this yet, so i just figured I'd tell you my story. I have gotten bronchitis every year since I've been 5 year old. No reason - lungs just always get the brunt of any cold. Anyway, since I now have such a small stomach the powerful meds that I need to be on (along with all the other suppl. we have to take on a daily basis ) really do a number on my sleeve now. Yuck - always nauseous...so just an observation about how meds you used to able to tolerate, you may not be able to now....ok - thought it was worth mentioning....Happy New Year to all...

Thanks so much for everyone's responses. Thank God I only get this once or twice a year! -
Strong meds vs. small stomach

Mel - that's exactly what I've always been on, Leviquin. I'm trying to take it later in the day when I have a little more in my stomach & it seems to help a bit, but we will never be able to fill our bellies up to where we wouldn't be nauseous... Lol. -

Congrats! What a great start to the New Year. You will feel better day by day...welcome to the club! -
That's what's so funny. Before surgery I had IBS, so anything I ate ran right through me. This - I am not used to! Will definitely try the m.o.m. Thanks!

4 months out. Also having problems in that area. Horrible feeling! Tried smooth move & thought my stomach would explode! I think I lost an ovary in the process! Lol... Been using fiber gummies. Afraid to use the seeds because it said something about thinning out the blood. Will try milk of mag....

Live & sleeved in NYC & I too had a catheter. Still got up & walked around with it. The also said they had to monitor my output. Annoying, but what are you going to do....
-
So good to know. The same things happening to my arms... I will work with the weights..

Happy 21st Birthday! My doctor said no drinking at all for at least 6 months - so that's what I'm doing. Seeing friends for the holidays at a bar this weekend & I'll have my trusty water with me...Happy Holidays to everyone!
