@ johnlatte. Oh you are giving me some hope here! Maybe I'll try it again. It has been a few months & I do enjoy them & also great protein!

Hey guys. Hope everyone is doing great! I need a little advice. I am 6 months out & I have hit the dreaded stall. Any suggestions to help me out. I've been seeing the same 2 numbers go back & forth for about 4 weeks now. I've just added Pilates this week & next week start kickboxing. Hoping that helps... I get in about 50-60 grams of protein a day & I'm good with my water... Still haven't even had a piece of bread yet! Thanks....

Thanks! I don't feel so alone or a failure! Even though we're doing everything right you still feel that's its your fault! I will increase the carbs a bit! Hope this breaks soon! Although I really can't complain. I've lost 87 pounds & feel great...

For some reason since surgery I can't tolerate eggs at all. Comes right back up within 10 minutes. Strange because one day fine, next day not, so I just don't eat them & I'm 6 months out....oh well, maybe one day.

Just when I thought I was making progress
cmaloney replied to Susie1226's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
They sound like single-minded ignorant people & i would tell them that you really don't appreciate the weight references & to please stay on the topic on hand. Just when I thought I've heard it all, something comes along & surprises me. I didn't start to gain my wait until my 20s. Up until then I had a rockin body if I have to say so myself. My best friend since the age of 3 was overweight, but I never saw that. I always saw the person, not the size of people, so this stuff always amazes me. You keep on being proud of yourself!! -
Congrats to all the newly sleeved!!!! Very happy for all of you.

Has anyone lost there hair?
cmaloney replied to superchica879's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have long thick hair also (which I used to pay to have thinned out). I thought I got away with the loosing of hair, but 5 months out it started! It's significant but like the other poster said, you won't have to cut your hair....I notice it because its everywhere, but I really don't see or feel a difference in my hair. -
I had 2 weeks short term disability. Like the other poster I could've went back to work in 3 days. Thankfully no issues & 6 months out already...

I used Dr. Dakin @ Ny Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan. Even saw Dr. Oz from TV & chatted with him for a while. Really great hospital....

I live on Long Island but had my surgery in NYC. I know that Winthrop Hospital in Mineola does bariatric surgery. Maybe you can look up their website & you'll get a name.

We are all human & have made bad choices. Just remember, it could've been much worse. At least now whatever food choice was made, it was limited due your new stomach size! Just forget about it & keep doing what you've been doing! It's all good! Best of luck!

Back in the day when I carried the equivalent of a small child on my frame. I used to hit that 3pm crash time. That's not to say it doesn't happen now 83 pounds lighter, but nothing like it used to. Well today I felt it! There was a baby shower at work & I took a little piece of chocolate moose cake ( I know! Should've of) Wow - am I feeling that gross sugar/ carb comedown. It's been 6 months & I haven't even had bread yet!!! Kinda glad it happened, so I will remember how crappy I used to feel ALL the time since my diet was basically carbs....just wanted to share. I need a nap now!! Have an awesome weekend everyone!

Thanks so much ProudGrammy.. I will have that title myself the end of June. Can't wait! Your post is very true. Really hit home how awful I used to feel ALL the time with my previous all-carb/all-fat diet...

I know you're upset, but you really want to make sure you're in the best possible health for this. It's not that long of a weight & you know it will happen. Patience isn't one of my strong suits either so I know your frustration. Will be keeping good thoughts for you...

Mine began in the beginning of my 5th month. Lots of hair loss, but I have a lot of hair anyway so it's ok. Don't know how long it's going to last...

I re-read your post & it seems like the IV is out & you might be home. In that case, just ice it until swelling goes down.... -
IV site swillen in that exact spot
cmaloney replied to wcn1970's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That happened to me in the hospital. My whine arm got huge. Called the nurse in right away & they had to take it out & out it on the other side. What happened was it became infiltrated. ( fluid backup). Tell the nurse right away.... -
