Rapidly Gaining Weight 2 Years Post Op Sleeve Surgery
Fair2bslimLady replied to nikki042's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have to say that this post has to be one of the most valuable ones to me because its honest, I have always loved food and will and the sleeve will not take that away I just need to find peace with my eating and use it for fuel instead of pleasure, who doesnt love wine with cheese or a good slice of pie but do I want to look at my life with regret or do I want to know I have the power and can live a balance life. I get my sleeve in Jan and Im trying to find new ways of living and finding other things that can make me happy, I have to trade this addiction for another one that is healthy for me. -

Well went to my apt today and met with my dr and I have gained 3 pounds and he scolded me for about 30 minutes and he was brutal which I can understand. But I felt mad and sad because he scolded me like a fat kid that can’t stop eating cake. He said that he had other surgeries dealing with cancer and my surgery was elective and I just wish I could tell him to go fu(( off and just forget the whole thing but I want this surgery and I know I need to do my part, but I want to tell him that he is insensitive and my wls is not a nose job.

January 2013 Sleevers?
Fair2bslimLady replied to LenaVSG's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi I dont have a date yet but Dr told me I would be Jan hoping for 7th too -

I was all about the sleeve until my dr (military hospital) seems not that involved with my procedure and moved it from Nov 30 to sometime in January because he stated that the hospital is busy and due to the holidays as well. This remark from him made me really nervous because I need a surgeon who is 100 percent about me and my wls. Now I am thinking of moving towards the Bypass and finding a doctor that works mainly with wls. I was so excited but Im just afraid that the dr and the military hospital wont give me the support that I need after surgery, I barely get any support now I do all the foot work on my own.

Lost, Stressed, :(
Fair2bslimLady replied to Fair2bslimLady's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Hi dooter thanks for the feed back but I also found out that the sleeve does change overtime and it depends on the person. "Stretching of the stomach often results in additional problems other than inadequate weight loss or weight regain. The tube of the stomach may stretch in a manner that is not uniform, resulting in portions of the stomach tube being larger than others. This can cause the stomach to become shaped like an hourglass, where both the upstream and downstream portions of the stomach are large, but they are separated by a portion of the stomach that is fairly narrow. While eating may not increase as a result of a stretched stomach tube, it may cause uncomfortable and/or disordered eating. Depending on the volume of food a patient consumes at each meal and the symptoms they have, there are a couple of revision options that all result in food flowing more directly through the stomach." Fair2bslimLady replied to KatieOkieDokie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
He is so handsome, I also have boxers 2-males 8 months and they are going to doggy camp for a week and if i still feel weak then my friend will take them for another week so I love them but this is my time and I need to make everything perfect, I already told my kids they better behave or off to grandma, you have to take it easy and get rest, -
Hi guys, well the Nut at my hospital is not too familiar with VSG and they just started doing the sleeve due to new doctors, she is really good but I just dont feel that she can guide me. She gave me a lot of printed information from online and also kept calling it the gastric instead of the sleeve. Any information will help, I want to know how my weeks should go and what goes on step by step with each new week, with fluids and meals.
