So I am paying my deposit tomorrow to Ready4achange, Dr. Garcia and purchasing my airfare. I am so scared I'm making a mistake I have a 4 month old baby, a 14 yr old son and a husband who adores me fat or thin. I'm so worried that something will happen to me then what will my boys do? I guess if I was having it here I would feel better, but complications could happen anywhere. It just worries me because I had the band for 6 yrs and I don't know how much scar tissue I have and it seems revisions have a higher likely hood for leaks. Then I'm scared about flying what if I get a blood clot or the altitude messes with my stomach. Plus I'm gonna be alone and that sucks. I'm so scared!!! Please god help me make the eight decision!

And it's done. Deposit down surgery set flight bought. Tijuana here I come. So nervous. Surgery date is Feb 8 with Dr. Fernando Garcia at MI Hospital, I need a buddy, anyone, anyone, anyone :-)

I'm scared to go to Mexico by myself without my husband but this is the only way I can do this. I am praying I make the right decision.

When I had my Lapband put in 6 in a half years ago I didn't have anyone, when i had it out a year ago i didn't have anyone who understood. It's nice to have support. Thank you all!!

When I had the Lapband it was considered a pre existing condition. So I'm guessing yes. Even in a group insurance you can be insured but not have that part covered. That happened to me with my Lapband. I thought I was ok but my employer has a policy which did not cover pre existing conditions. But from my understanding the new health reform gets rid of pre existing conditions.

No potential for clots. I have had the lap band, a revision, a removal and my gall bladder removed. Without incident I just am nervous because I'm going to Mexico for surgery and even though I have spoken with the doctor I am still nervous about flying. But thank you for the replies! :-)

I too am going Feb 2013. After months of stalking this website I have finally decided to do this abs yesterday I contacted BeLite and spoke with the most awesome coordinator Sylvia and I am in, I don't know how I will get through Thanksgiving, my birthday, Christmas!!!
