Any Colorado sleevers?
WorkItOutWoman replied to Sadlers1999's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Anyone know of a good masseuse in Denver. I am thinking of getting my first massage but am very self conscious of my size extra skin etc. -

WorkItOutWoman replied to WorkItOutWoman's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Thanks everyone! I am so happy to be able to share my joy with the people who understand the journey -
I am about 40 pounds from goal but I feel amazing. Best decision of my life and wish I had done it 10 years ago.

Smallest possible clothing size with excess skin?
WorkItOutWoman replied to AtlantaRed's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I still have a good 40 lbs to lose but I am wearing large shirts depending on the cut. I was in Forever 21 plus size section and the sales girl asked if she could help and I said I was looking for a peplum top. She looked at me and informed me that I was in the plus size section and I should go to the other side of the store. WTF for a minute I thought she was being rude but then I realized she didn't think I belonged in plus section. -
Oh man I couldn't believe last Sunday's episode. Very intense.

Any Colorado sleevers?
WorkItOutWoman replied to Sadlers1999's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
In Denver proper and haven't had any problems with flooding. It's so strange the hitormiss nature of the rain here. -
Starvation mode is a myth for us fatties. We have enough fat stores to last through a game of thrones winter so take that out of your head. Are you on a PPI sometimes we mistake that for hunger. Get out of your head hunger.

How do you handle attention from the opposite sex now that you've been sleeved and are SUPER HOT?
WorkItOutWoman replied to buplee's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It's weird when you realize a person isn't looking at you and giving you full on attention because you are smart and funny. I'm finally starting to make the connection but the first few times it happened I thought my fly was unzipped or I had spinach in my teeth. I'm starting to realize when it happens I'm being checked out. -

Stupid Food Shows...
WorkItOutWoman replied to Macy6's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The food shows usually give me inspiration for recipes but there are days when I have to switch the channel. -
5 months out and I have bones again. It's been a great ride so far and I am looking forward to more.

Am I eating too much?
WorkItOutWoman replied to nsantoro126's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Let me keep this short and sweet. Yes 8 oz at a time is too much. Measure your portions and then stop. You won't feel a lot of restriction until you move on to dense protein. -

WorkItOutWoman replied to alpleasant's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You can do it purée only lasts a small time. I ate refried fat free beans and cottage cheese. Get some friends on myfitnesspal my ame three site same here. Feel free to add me. I didn't start exercising until 3 months postop. Now I work out 5 times a week. -

2 week pre-op diet - feeling like a failure
WorkItOutWoman replied to ajames's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The sleeve will remedy all that. I had no preop diet save for the 24 hour fast before surgery. You are not a failure. -
Sad about new eating habits
WorkItOutWoman replied to afitlife4me's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Only 2 months out hmmmm. Less is more. -
When did you start really working out?
WorkItOutWoman replied to NellieBean's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I got serious in month 3. I feel I could lose weight without exercise initially but I want to adopt a healthy lifestyle. I feel stronger and more confident with exercise. -
I left Mexicali and Dr Aceves without a sleeve...
WorkItOutWoman replied to stephanie1678's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Maybe I'm a special case but I needed the 6 month supervised diet, psych eval and all the insurance drama. It convinced me that I was ready to change my life and I truly wanted VSG. -

WorkItOutWoman replied to stephanie1678's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Some people just aren't ready. I can respect that. As far as wanting a stranger to call you and reassure you it's going to be ok? I just don't get that. This is why for good reason there are psych evals and waiting periods before this major elective surgery. -
Stall for over 5 months what to do?
WorkItOutWoman replied to Annointediam's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
It's hard to give advice without knowing any information. Are you on MFP? Are you tracking everything you eat? -
On principal I disagree with anything from Fox News so I disagree respectfully of course without even reading it.

I'm confused why are you doing this? I have no interest in eating 400-600 calories a day or eating less than 20 carbs a day nor in drinking my dinner every night. I had surgery to enable me to eat like a normal healthy human being. No more crash fad diets. None of them worked pre sleeve and I have no intention of bringing my warped relationship with food post sleeve.
