Sounds like I might just stick with the full liquids and only add in boiled eggs, grits and potatoes. Pureeing meat doesn't sound good to me lol

I'm so glad my doctor doesn't require the leak test! If we have symptoms of a leak he will do it. I feel for all of you that had to do it!

We have the same surgery date! I'm anxious but so excited! We have made the right decision. Are you prescribed an anti-acid? If so, ask your dictate if you can take it the morning of surgery. I can with a small sip of water. We are going to do great!!

What To Expect When You're In Your 20's
ashleytn replied to whitneymalae's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm 24 and am scheduled for Wednesday!! I'm so excited! I've debated doing a blog, but I'm not sure how many people I want to know about my surgery. The reason being that WLS is looked at as "taking the easy way out". But I may change my mind! -
Awesome job OTR!! I'm glad you've taken control of your life! I with for a large OTR trucking company doing FMLA, ADA and employee relations stuff and I would love if more if our drivers would take control of their life!

My pre-op diet is getting easier. I have a baby shower to go to after work, so that is going to be tough!! -
My surgery is at 8:00 am eastern time. I hope to be up and walking and sipping Fluid when it's time for your surgery! We are going to do great!

October 3rd!! I just went for my pre-admission stuff and got my post-op diet today. I get soft foods after 3 weeks and stay on soft foods for 3 weeks. On the first day of week 7 I get real food (which happens to be the day before thanksgiving!)

October Sleevers! Announce Yourselves

I would like yalls opinion. My team at work and I are supposed to have lunch with a former college friend who I took her place when she left. I don't trust myself to go to lunch. I really want to stick to this pre-op diet 100% until next Wednesday. Is that being selfish if I don't go? -
October Sleevers! Announce Yourselves

So I just kind of cheated on my pre-op diet. I about 2 oz grilled chicken on a salad and a cup of chicken soup. I didn't finish all of it. But I keep seeing people who don't have the diet, so i hope I didn't screw up too bad. -

October Sleevers! Announce Yourselves
ashleytn replied to SkinnyMinnie2Be's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hey everybody! I'm scheduled for a revision on October 3 with Dr. Chris Sanborn. I initially lost 75 pounds with the band, and started having problems and gained it all back plus some. I'm in my pre-op diet now, and yes I'm starving. lol I think it's interesting that every doctor is different with what they require on their pre-op diets. I'm very excited for my revision that I can hardly contain myself. lol -
Octosleevers - What Is Your Pre-Op Diet?
ashleytn replied to OneManWolfpack's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My pre-op diet began when I was 2 weeks out from surgery, which was this past Wednesday. I'm on 3 shakes and one meal under 350 calories. Starting this Wednesday until the day before surgery I will move to 4 shakes a day and no food. The day before surgery is all Clear Liquids. I won't lie, it's been difficult. But I know it will be worth it! Oh, and my surgery is October 3rd! -
New & Revision Is Scheduled!
ashleytn replied to ashleytn's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Thanks, Amazon! This pre-op diet might kill me, but I know in the end that it will be so worth it! I know each doctor is different when giving pre-op diets. From now until Tuesday, I'm allowed 3 shakes and one low calorie meal. Starting on Wednesday I am only allowed 4 shakes a day. I have a baby shower on Thursday for a co-worker, and I'm so afraid that I'm going to be tempted! -
Hey everybody! I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Ashley from Southeast TN. I was banded in December 2009. I initially lost around 75 pounds, but started having problems and gained it all back plus some. Every time I get a fill, I have problems. I switched bariatric doctors. My current surgeon did an endoscopy and found that I had a very large ulcer. It is all healed and my surgery is scheduled for October 3! I just started my pre-op diet today. I'm very excited! I feel like I'm getting another chance at weight loss. Although, I do have that little doubt of "what if it doesn't work?" I'm sure it will all be okay though!
