"Was anyone scared?" Not in the least...I was sooo very ready to finally be doing something about my weight.

    Lapband's dirty little secret

Sorry to hear about ya'lls problems with your surgeons. My sister and I both used the same surgeon and we have both, since switched drs without any problems...in fact I switched twice when I found one I liked better than the second one.
  4. Oh..HELL Yes!!!!

Rant "Teenagers Can't eat a whole one"

My daughter is now almost 23yrs old and getting ready for med school. but there was a time when she was in jr high that I couldn't handle her attitude anymore and told her she was going to have to go live with her dad. She didn't, but I had had enough. She is my life and through all the ups and downs in our relationship I would give my life to save hers. Good luck and as they say "this too shall pass". Joanie )

    need help

Wow, you have done just great, even with your snacking... I understand the hungry feeling, I was the same way when I was first done. Eventually your stomach will get used to not eating as much and you won't always feel hungry. More Protein is a good idea, and also keeping track of what you eat is another. Tell your doc what's going on and ask about a larger fill this time, but don't go too tight. I noticed your live in Texas, me too. I'm in Beeville, where are you at? Good luck, Joanie )
  7. Hi, Thanx for checking out my PS pics...and don't be afraid of the bruises...they did not hurt, really. I know it looked bad, but it wasn't painful. The only discomfort I had was my underarms were a little irritated...kinda like I cut them shaving. Again, don't let my pics scare you, check with a plastic surgeon first, and see what others on here have to say. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

    good luck, Joanie :o)

  9. I know the feeling...last year, '07 actually, I was able to wear a pair of my husbands sz 34 camo pants for halloween . Whoohoo! Now they are too big on me...I love it!!!
  10. Nope, not a one....even on my more difficult days, the trip was sooo very worth the destination....do it and you won't have any regrets either.
  11. I think it's always harder to lose the closer you get to your goal, even without the band. I too lost weight faster in the first 3-4mos. After that it was 10lbs here and 10lbs there, but I finally lost 100lbs. Now I have been struggling to lose the last 10lbs to reach my goal weight. I guess if I never lose that last 10lbs I would still be happy with where I'm at, but I set my goal and really want to reach it. Ya know? Good luck to you and don't give up! Joanie )

How to shrink a streched pouch?!?!?!?

I have an appt next week for a fill with the flouro. (it's been 2 yrs since my last flouro) and I am curious as to the size of my ouch. My upper abdomin seems to bulge out alot, especially after I eat or drink...I'm hoping all is okay, but am thinking about trying the 5 day pouch test just in case.
  14. Some of you have asked me about how bad my arms looked before and how they are looking now that it's been 3mos out. I'm posting some now pics and looking for a pic of my arms before...My surgeon will be giving me a disc with all my before and after pics, but not till it's been at least 6mos. Makes sense, huh? Haha!!! Thanx everyone for all the nice comments. Joanie ) arms before.bmp
  15. Thanx for the compliment and I'm sure yours will look just as good. I will be posting more recent pics soon...I've been busy lately, we just went to visit my sister in Pa. and then we all went to England. Got back 2 days ago and now my husbands daughter and her family are visiting from Michigan. Whew! I will be able to relax after monday. I am extremely happy with all my surguries. I'll be back with more pics. later, Joanie
  16. Yea, it got ugly for a while, but the bruising is gone after the first couple of weeks. I wasn't expecting so much of it though. I am very happy with the results. I will post more pics as the scars heal up even more. Good luck on your surgery and I hope everything turns out to your liking. Joanie :w00t:)
  17. Thanks, and I really like this haircut too. I'm gonna get better pics of it so I can show the girl who cuts my hair so she can do it the same way again. Joanie

 Help! I'm eating the last of the pringles!!! (my biggest weakness)

Can you FILL me, I need some help?

 You could have been eating too fast or not chewing long enough....How much did you get down before the problem started, could you have just eaten too much? With the restriction we have to be careful not to do those things. Any trouble with liquids? Maybe you're too tight? Just throwing in my 2 cents worth. Been there, done that, ya know? Joanie
  20. I just now saw your thread...I did not know about an unfill before my procedures, but had absolutely no probs what so ever. How did it go for you? Hope you had no complications. Good luck, Joanie :mad2:)

No regrets and really not all that uncomfortable or as painful as it would appear.
