Hi there, I read how desperate you are, but I am also confused...your signature, if I read it right, shows you have lost quite a bit of weight. 291/245/165 That is wonderful. Have you gained the weight back? I also agree with Sue, do you need a fill? Is your Dr. helping with your problem? If so change drs. I did! My surgeon did a great job, but I wasn't getting the support I felt I needed, so I found a different dr and couldn't be happier. Good luck, Joanie :sneaky:)

I can't recall the amount I got the first time, but I did feel the restriction. That's how it works, though...right? You'll be fine. Enjoy the weightloss journey! It's worth every thing!

super excited about my Plastic Surgery
JoanieP replied to JoanieP's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Well it's been over a month since my tummy tuck and breast lift and I just couldn't be happier. No more butt in the front. Whoop! I was supposed to have my arms done. but I had to have surgery on my left shoulder in Dec. so Dr. burns didn't want to chance messing that up, but I love the way my boobs look now. Wow! Dr. Burns and his staff are super....I would recommend him to anyone. Check out my pics. 100lbs lighter since my lapband. later, Joanie ) -

Don't all jump on me at once, but here is a stupid question
JoanieP replied to Vicky Sab's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
About the feeling like a newby, I can totally relate...I am 2 1/2yrs out and sometimes feel like I haven't learned a damned thing when it comes to eatting with the band. I did want to say that when I have the problem you're describing, it's usually because I took too big a bite, didn't chew it enough and took the next bite too soon. Some habits are hard to break. Good luck to all of us! Joanie :smile2:) -
Well, I'm not exactly off to a good start here....I didn't do anything yesterday and so far I haven't gotten the energy up for the gym today. Gotta go, go, go...ya know! I know once I get there I will be fine...I just need to do it! I'll let ya'll know how I made out! Thanx for listening to me whine! LOL!!!!

JoanieP replied to deb's journey's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
WhooHooo and welcome! I know exactly how you feel...I've been banded for 2 1/2yrs, and have love the way I feel now. My biggest complaint is....I wish I had done it years ago!!! haha!!! good luck, Joanie ) -
 Sorry to hear about your ins. problem. Mine didn't cover it either, but I was lucky enough to be able to afford cash pay...kinda, credit cards you know!!! Have you looked into the care credit? It can be used for anything medical. I'm using it for my tummy tuck in January...WhooHooo!!! Good luck, hope you can get the band!

Are you sure the text was truly from him? You said you have not talked to him since you got it...could someone have gotten hold of his phone and sent it, not him? Just food for thought. On a happier note, the band is wonderful, enjoy your weightloss.

JoanieP replied to taz's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my first colonoscopy a few months ago with no problems what so ever....except all the shitting. Good luck Tina...really it's not that bad...I had been putting it off for the last few years, and it was nothing! Joanie ) -

I've lost 2 lbs. this week, not a big leap, but I'll take it. It's gotten me down to my lowest weight since having my banding. WhooHoo!!!! Joanie ) -
I've done very well at getting to the gym but I am still having a mid-afternoon snack. Usually a string cheese or yogurt, but still....doc wants me to lay off all snacks. Well, todays another day, right? Best of luck to all of you!

I am staying on plan today and everyday until I have lost this last stubborn 15 lbs so I can then just concentrate on maintaining my goal weight. I am on the right path and will stay there for as long as it takes. -
I have been basically sweets free for over a week now, and I don't crave it now...I'm one of those that can't have just a little (that's where my band comes in, right? haha) so as long as I stay away all together I'm much better off.

JoanieP replied to Southern Missy's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have been there, and I can sympathize with you. Start writing down everything you put in your mouth...sometimes we are eating more than we think. Also, are you eating slow enough and taking small enough bites? Keep up the walking, maybe pick up the pace some and the amount you are walking. Just keep at it, you will get there! Good luck, Joanie ) :tt2: -
super excited about my Plastic Surgery
JoanieP replied to JoanieP's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
The main reason I can't do it sooner is there is too much stuff going on for the next few months. I leave the 23rd. for a visit with my sister in Pa. for Halloween and then I will be staying till the 18th of Nov. to help her after her tummy tuck. Then the holidays are upon us. Plus, my sister said she can come help me after my surgery so she'll be here shortly after Christmas. Like I said, just too much going on....but I wish it were sooner. And it will give me more time to lose that last 15lbs. to get me to my goal weight. My surgeon is even going to wait until the week before the surgery date to take my before pics, so it will be a true comparison. I can't wait!!! -
Been there...chicken strips....my friend was in a panic cause she could find me a gas station or anyplace for me to ...well you know!!!
