Hey everyone. I've been looking through other women sharing their stories on YouTube, so I finally decided to start sharing mine. I posted my first video the other day and I'm excited because I'll be able to go back and look at my progress from each video. If you want to see it search for 'gastric sleeve skinny for the first time.' My screen name is under nita8857. Let me know what you all think. :-)

I just waited until my incisions didn't hurt anymore and I didn't feel sore. Lol

When will drinking Water get easier? If I even take a small sip I still get these, what feels like, hunger pains a few minutes later and my surgery was Sept. 11th of this year. I used to love drinking water, but now I dread it. So unhealthy.

The straw is working great! I was able to get down a whole bottle of Water today. Thank you so much for the tip. I was missing my water. :-)

Ok, I'll give it a try. Thank you for the advice!

Thank you for posting this. I was hoping someone who has been post op for some months would respond so that I know it gets better. :-)

It's kind of funny because I don't have a goal weight, per se. I could lie and give a number, but I just prefer to feel a whole lot better than I do with all of this weight. So my real goals are striving for more energy and better heath. I would also love to be in kickboxing and along-side the energy I want to feel a need to drive hard to reach my career goals. Lastly, if nothing else I want to be selfish for the first time ever with a new body. Some people had kids or life just got a hold of them and they picked up the weight, but I never had that luxury of knowing what it once felt like to be slender. Some folks may call this kind of surgery cheating, but with a fat girl frame of mind that I was raised with I think of it as a life saver (no pun intended lol). So a new wardrobe will do. I'm already confident, but I would love to flaunt the style I've been dying to try. Fat girls rock, but I'm so over it.

Wow... this is saddening.

I just googled hair grades for black women. There are charts and pictures to help you out. Some are kind of bad, but most say the same thing.

I haven't had any hair loss other than the usual. My problem was my hair getting really dry, but I just took fish oil pills to help with that. Another thing that I did was the egg, avocado and coconut oil deep condition, followed by a co-wash and then I did twists. That pretty much revived my hair. Now it feels amazing. :-) I want to get more kinky twists. I love those! Micros, I'm scared to get because of my hair grade. Lol

My starting weight was 326 and today I finally saw 299! My workout hasn't started yet, but when I do start this weight is going to shed like melted butter! Excited!!!

Omg I was the exact same with 302! That's so funny. I couldn't really be mad because I know I'm still healing, but I wasn't picking up weight. Lol Before you know it 299 will be a thing of the past for us! :-)
