Omg I was the exact same with 302! That's so funny. I couldn't really be mad because I know I'm still healing, but I wasn't picking up weight. Lol Before you know it 299 will be a thing of the past for us! :-)

Thank you! I have to stay positive if I want a positive change. :-)

Because I haven't worked out yet, I'm in my 5th week. I know a lot of people press themselves after week 3, but I want to make sure I'm healed first because I go hard when I workout. Prior to getting the sleeve, and before I started working 2 jobs, I had lost 50 lbs. on my own. Then life changes and your number gets higher than ever before. So I'm ready to start being active again, even with 2 jobs. 30 minutes to an hour can be sacrificed. ©(^.^)© Sweating is my friend! Lol

I take 2 per day. 1 in the morning and 1 at night.

Thank you!

I have a crazy work schedule that calls for little sleep, when I have to work both jobs. This is one of the main reasons why I went with the sleeve. Having a gym membership does me no good if I'm too worn out to make it out there (20 minute drive from home), but I still want to do my hour of working out. I already own a ps3, so I recently purchased the move bundle, a few dance games, and a fitness game. I'm stupid excited to get all of this stuff because I love to dance. I'll let everyone know how it goes!

Thanks for the tip! As soon as I get the energy I want to get into kickboxing. That's my workout goal. Those videos will definitely help condition all the right muscles.

Leslie's videos are awesome! I was losing weight with her videos and I know I'll go back to them. I think I'll change it up like you're going to do, between the dancing and walking. These two things are great ideas, especially if you can't lift weights just yet. Good luck on your workouts!

Speaking of which.... I need to put up my big mirror!

We worry about what others think too often. It's about time they share the stage! -
Friends- Can We Really Keep Them?
juanita19 replied to O.T.R. sleever's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I'm finding everyone hard to deal with. I'm only 4 weeks out and I'm already making considerations about these weak friendships. You learn a lot about folks after you lay on that surgery bed! Although having one friend that's always in my corner is a blessing, I would have thought that childhood friends would have been a bit more supportive, but I guess not everyone can handle my achievements. Let the haters hate! Lol -
Use oils or take fish oil pills.

There are a lot of before and afters on here. I just did a search on the forum for "after pictures," "6 months," "pics," etc. Search for those key words on here and there might even be a thread started by now for folks who are 6 months post-op. I hope this helps. :-)

Lol yeah, I'm getting it colored and it won't look bad when I loose weight. Seen folks my size slim down and they look fine afterwards.

What Cant U Wait To Do Post Op?

Wow... This thread has me in tears. It's just amazing at the little things people can miss out on that means so much. Sometimes I forget what I'm incapable of doing or not being able to do easily because I've been over weight my entire life. To feel that change will be a whole new world to me. It leaves me speechless... -
Hi everyone. It's exciting to see this thread and compare notes. I was sleeved on the 11th of Sept. Right now, I have to remember to chew until my heart is content, but I'm not that bad. Sometimes I think will I forget that I had this surgery, but the bill will be a wonderful reminder. Lol To all the October babies, don't be nervous because the surgery goes pretty quick. The worst part about the surgery is that it's freaking cold in that O.R. room, but that's all of 10 seconds of torture. Oh and if you just so happen to crack your eyes open during the surgery, like I did, EVERYTHING goes in fast forward, even folks talking, and then you go right back to sleep. Lol The worst part after the surgery is no one wants you to sleep at first, so they'll try to keep you awake. My sister kept hitting me over the head with one of those little get well soon balloons, so that made me drugged out angry enough to sorta stay awake. And the other part is vomiting. You might not be able to get comfy, but you'll have to vomit a few times, which is perfectly normal... The sucky part is that you may not have control over your bladder, so yeah... You'll have to slowly creep out of bed. And the last part is everything gets cold, but hospital blankets are amazing! I had like 9 of them and was wrapped up like the virgin Mary, which my sis took a picture of. Lol Really, it's not torture. You'll feel discomfort and sore, of course, but the only real pain you'll feel, more so than your tummy, is that damn IV, which made me cold. Lol This was my first ever surgery and I took it like a champ. Be excited and don't be nervous... You won't be awake for the part to feel nervous about. Take the proper time off work and get some sleep! Sleep is your friend!!! Hope this helps and makes someone get rid of their nervous shakes. :-) P.S. The nurses were ecstatic about my new tattoo. I talked to my doctor today about having dry skin and hair. My surgery was on the 11th of September, so I'm still fairly new to this and still in the healing process. Because of this, as explained by the doc, my body is still focused on healing my stomach. With that being said he recommended getting fish oil pills if this continues 3 months from my surgery date. Hopefully I can go without taking another pill, but if not I'll give that a go. Hope this helps.
