    Hungry

    8 months out, 80 lbs down, I've gained 8 lbs in a month. I'm hungry all the time. I wanted to not ever feel this way again.. I'm still 45 lbs to goal and I feel like I'm never gonna make it. Feelin blue..
  2. Sleeved 9/20. I've lost a total of 71 lbs but I'm in a major stall! It seems I can eat more and I still get hungry. I'm going to up the water and the excersize but it's so frustrating. Highest weight ever was 312.. 291 before surgery.. Now 220. I want to lose about 45 more bit its getting so hard! Good luck everybody!! Happy Sunday.
  3. Weighed yesterday and I've lost 72 lbs! It's weird, cause I stalled for 3 weeks.. Then ate a bunch of stuff I shouldn't have.. Broke the stall. Now I'm super motivated again! Exercising and eating good, and I started using miralax every morning and adding all bran buds to my yogurt in the mornings. Man fiber makes a difference! So lots of fiber and protein and stay away from cake! Lol. Keep going guys! U can do it!
  4. Thank u. The carbs def are a problem! I'm still losing weight, just much slower, and I think the stall made me want to eat. I had a cupcake and ice cream yesterday. But vowing to stay away from stuff like that. I went through too much to go back!
  5. Ice cream calls! I know I need to get past this stall. I have started today off with lots of water and protein. Having yogurt and strawberries for my sweets later. I will make this work. And 63 lbs is nothing to sneeze at. It's nice to fit into pretty clothes and that is an incentive. Evening is harder but I just purchased a gym membership so I will have something to do in the evenings.
  6. I've lost 63 lbs total. Had surgery in September. Lately I've been wanting to eat everything. I was hoping surgery would keep me from getting hungry, keep me from wanting or being able to eat sweets. I am having a stressful time right now and I'm sure that has to do with it, but I want ice cream and cupcakes! Seems evening time is still hardest for me. I have my mornings an lunch planned out an usually eat very little, but when I get home, te stress kicks in and I want to eat! I'm worried I will stretch out the sleeve and start gaining. I know what I need to do. It's just doing it! Anyone else having these feelings or wanting to binge?
  7. Sleeved on sept 20, down 51 lbs!!! Not losing hair. Drinking lots of nectar lemon tea and eating chicken salad! So happy I did this. Down from size 26 to 16-18. Yay!

    September 12

    I was sleeved on sept 20th. I am down 48 lbs! Very happy and noticed that I am losing weight in places like my elbows and noticed my arms are smaller. I have gotten into a routine of med taking and protein drinks. I work in a hospital but the cafeteria usually has good choices for me. I am eating lots of Greek yogurt, chili, lunchmeat, chicken salad. Things are going great. No nausea, and I've only gotten sick one time- because I ate a piece of cake. I wanted it so bad! But now I've learned to just have a bite and I'm good. I admit I'm not exercising enough. But I use the elliptical about three times a week. Very happy I did this!

    Comppliments = Eating?!

    I've lost 35 lbs and I'm already getting attention. I think it makes me a bit nervous so I want to eat. I ate raw cookie dough today! Guess a shrink is a good idea..
  10. I was told to start with some kind of protein first. Chicken salad, pimento cheese, cottage chesse. Something that's going to give sustained energy. I can eat cheese and peanut butter as well. Potatoes, chips, crackers should be avoided as much as possible. I've found this things make me want more of them and carbs are horrible for me

    2 Weeks Post Op

    Hey all! I have started on my elliptical trainer instead of walking. A treadmill or long walks really aggravate my back pain so I have found that elliptical works great for me. At least 20 to 30 minutes, not too fast. I figure as long as I'm moving it will help. I'm also using a shake weight every day. I am making my own home gym by finding things at yard sales and flea markets. So far I have a balance ball, shake weight, resistance bands. I debated on joining a gym and I may still do that but I wanted to get my kids interested in working out too. I've lost 25 lbs since September 12! Was sleeved on the 20th. I'm doing ok, but struggling some days cause I miss food! But I've noticed that is getting better. Good luck all!

    Hungry?

    I too, was sleeved on the 20th. First couple of days were rough but now I'm drinking most of my liquids and getting about60 to 80 grams of protein. I am hungry. I dream about food. Hard to watch tv. I guess it's a big mental thing! But I've craved grilled cheese sandwiches. I am using a variety of powders tho, and it's helping. I love the nectar lemon tea and the chocolate truffle. I ordered a variety of products from mybariatricpantry.com I'm glad to know that others are feeling this hunger sensation. I was hoping it would magically go away!

    Pain And Burping

    I wanted to go home after the first night! But I got so nauseated that my doctor insisted I stay. I'm glad I did. I'm home and sometimes I feel really good, but now I'm feeling so tired and very sick. Think I my head back to bed for a while.
  14. Was sleeved on sept 20th. Spent two nights in hospital and was very nauseated on day two. I thought I was going to hurl up my new stomach! Anytime I drink, I burp and it's painful. I'm also very headachy. Hoping these feelings go away. Taking zofran and pain Meds about every 8 hours. It's very hard to get 64 oz of fluid. Getting ready to take a walk. The omeprazole is definitely helping with the acid and nausea. Hang in there everybody! This has got to get better
