Well I'm one week post-op today. Today hasn't really been a good day, I just feel blah and my tummy feels FULL!! Yesterday was a good day, walked got 85/95 grams of Protein and almost all my Fluid. So I wonder if I am paying for that today. My first follow up appointment is tomorrow so we shall see what happens. Still giving myself Lovenox injections for another 5 days. I switched to Flintstones Vitamins because the ones from the doctors office makes me sick!! I am taking my chewable Iron which doesn't seem to upset my tummy. Anyway...I hope for everyone that was sleeved today it went well. And good luck to all the soon to be sleevers!!! Btw....I am not feeling hungry, but I am so ready to have real food (even if it is pureed) and not liquids!!!

I'm not at that point. 6 days post-op. So I am all liquids still, but great question!!

Hello everyone!! Hope all is well. I was sleeved on the 10th at 7 am! I have been home since Friday, doing okay. It's not all peaches and roses but I'm getting there. I have my ups and downs where I feel great one time and the next I am just exhausted. Giving myself the lovenox injections haven't been to bad, but be warned they sting after the fact. I am not getting all my liquids in but I am working on it. Today I started a check off list of my protein fluids vs. regular fluids. Hoping this will help. I have been able to get my vitamins down, but last night they made me sick to my stomach. The main things I am focusing on is my incentive spirometer (for breathing - helps preventive pneumonia after surgery.), walking, sipping fluids, and resting. Resting is the easy part whenever I set on my couch I dose I off. I haven't slept in my bed yet as I am afraid I won't be able to get out, so I have been sleeping in the recliner. Where I can get up and down without having to wake people up to help me get up.

Self-pay -
Has anyone had surgery performed by him or know someone who has? I have tried to look up information on him, and his complication rates. But I am not having any luck. I go to meet with his PA Winter on Sept. 26 and am scheduled for the sleeve on the 10th of October. The scariest part of this for me is actually being put to sleep, not the surgery itself. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

I have all my lab done and my last diet and psych consult this Wednesday the 26th, and surgery is scheduled for the 10th of October. So I would be worried that at this point by switching physicians it would push back my date and I already have it off through work. -

Do you know how much your doctor charges for self pay and if all my pre-op stuff would switch from one physician to another? -
I'm scheduled for October 10th and I am nervous. Every day I wonder if I am making the right decision. So it sounds like many of us feel the same way.
