I have not been here in quite a while, and I have been having some struggles with my weight lately, so I figured I could get some support here!

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond - holiday distractions!
I am so sorry all that has happened to you! You have had a lot going on and a lot of disappointments. I am struggling a bit too (especially after Easter weekend) and am going to go back to basics And write things down. I am going to go back to basics and try to get to my next goal. What was your goal weight? Mine is kind of a moving target lol. I now am aiming for 160 since I hit 170. I am sure I gained a couple over the weekend but am back on track today so far :-)

Barb, I was originally going for 156, but now I would be happy with 165 pounds I think. The lowest I got was 172 pounds, but it did not last but a day or two! The lowest I had got that actually lasted a bit was 175. However to do that I was all my feet all day and doing a lot of walking, bending, going up and down step ladders at that job I had in Family Dollar. That job was just to hard on me physically though at my age of almost 58 years old with the problems I have with my body from Celiac and Fibromyelgia. I have been getting out and walking a lot lately, and I walk between 3.5 to 4.20 miles at a time with our dogs, and I have improved on my time, and can do it in less time than I was doing, so that's good. My weight however seems to be STUCK at 192 pounds! I'm at least down 2 pounds though since was 194, but I just want to be back where I was like yesterday! LOL It was so much easier for the weight to fall off that first year after surgery! I wish it would still come off that easy! My Gastric doctor, and his staff all think I have done a great job, but I'm not happy with myself lately. I know I'm doing what I am suppose to do, but my stupid body will not do what it's supposed to do!

I started a new job on May 12th at our local Family Dollar as a cashier, customer service rep, and I really like it! I couldn't have done this before my sleeve surgery. I'm hoping it will help me lose the other 20 pounds I'd like to lose too!

I have a job now for the first time in 17 years! I'm a part time custodian at a local grade school. I could have never done this 1 1/2 years ago before my WLS ! Thankful for my sleeve!

Thanks you guys. Yes, and I love kids, and have grandkids the ages of the kids I'll be working around. Most times kids won't be around when I'm there cause I clean evenings, but on special events I'll be around them. It feels great to be a part of something again instead of sitting home in my recliner feeling depressed, and worthless like I use to before my weight loss.

I gained a little weight over the holidays. I hate winter, because I love going outside to do my workouts!
-
Walked another 4.23 miles today with our dogs,3rd day in a row, and I did it in an hour and 7 minutes!

I went grocery shopping today, and a very big women was in front of me, and was huffing and puffing, and was hot and sweating. It reminded me just how far I have come, because that was me about 1 1/2 years ago!

Only 16 pounds away from my goal weight now! 11 months out, and feeling fantastic!
-
Still on a stall, and losing then gaining, then losing the same 2-3 pounds! I'm 10 months out now is this NORMAL?
-
Well, I'm on a stall again! Lose 2# one day, gain it back the next time I weight! Back & Forth, back & forth! LOL Oh well, I have come a long way, and I'm not going to let it get me down! I'm trying to think about how far I have come, and just take one day at a time! These last 23 pounds are going to be the hardest I guess.

I went for my 9 month check up since sleeved, and my blood test were great, and my doctor's assistant was very pleased with my progress! Next doctor visit is in 3 months for my 1 year check up, and hopefully I'll reach my goal weight by then too!

Did something yesterday that I never thought I'd ever do! I went zip lining at John Ball Zoo. I have a big fear of heights, and because of my weight, I never did it before! I'm so proud of myself!
