Hi there. I am in the process of revising from sleeve to bypass. I had lost 100lbs in the first year of the sleeve which was great but then immediately gained it all back. I'm now, right back where I started. Due to my insurance I have to do 6mo physician supervised weight loss attempt. 4mos left to go. I'm hoping I'll be able to revise in July.

I'm planning on Dr. Sauceda in Monterrey in January Will be getting a LBL, AL, and BL/BA!

For those who traveled to Mexico for plastics, did you buy your airfare round trip or do one way till you knew later on exactly how long you'd need to stay there?

I'm looking at getting a lower body lift, breast lift w/ augmentation, and arm lift and I'm getting quotes for around $13,000 for it all. That includes compression garments, anesthesia, all fees and with some drs that includes the hotel. Basically all left I'd have to pay is for food, airfare (which one dr will refund up to $600 of), possibly hotel, and tipping. Not bad considering I was looking for the same surgeries here in the states and was quoted $23,000 and they'd only keep me overnight 1 night. Insurance will not cover a surgery if you go to Mexico for it. My insurance says they pay for "medically necessary cosmetic procedures" but it's impossible to jump through all their hoops to qualify...

Thanks for all the information!Once you moved to the hotel did they still check in on you frequently? I'm worried if I go alone I may be forgotten in the hotel and there won't be anyone to help me use the restroom or something. What did you eat once you went to the hotel?

So did you stay in the recovery house then for your first surgeries? I'm thinking if I go alone I may stay there.

I'm thinking I may travel alone too. Will you be staying in the hotel then? In just worried about being alone and needing to use the restroom or something and nobody being there to help.

I am going back and forth between Dr. Gutierrez and Dr. Sauceda. Did any of you go alone and stay in the hotel or at the recovery house? Also how long did you stay?

Hope the pain eases up. Everyone always says day 2 is the worst but that it gets better after that. Where did you have your plastics? And could I ask about how much it was? I'm also needing a BL/BA, arm lift & lower body lift or full tummy tuck.

I've been looking for plastics as well. . What do you mean by extended Tummy tuck? I want to do my arms too but I'm so scared about the scars, what did your doc say about the scars? Meaning is it going to be too visible? Extended tummy tuck is the term my cosmetic surgeon used. He said it just means that the tuck will go from one side to the other side (it's a little longer than most TT go) and that there will be more work involved during the surgery, more pulling and giving me a new belly button. I desperately need to do my arms, that's why they're going to be part of my first surgery. I have wings that hang down about 3in and are about 6-7in wide (almost to my elbow) they're very large. He said my incision for my arms will go from elbow to armpit on the underside of my arm so it won't be seen as easily. At least it's not going through the armpit into the side-boob area like some people have to get. I'd rather deal with the scars than the extra skin any day! I'm planning on getting tattoos to cover most of my scars.

Same here, things are starting to slow down. I've lost 82lbs since surgery 8/26/13 but 103lbs total and down 55.5in. HW 291 SW 270 CW 188 and I'm 5'5. I try to stick to a healthy balanced diet about 5-6oz per meal and usually 2 snacks per day. I average about 1000-1200 cals/day. I workout 4-5 days/wk usually high intensity (running, insanity, bootcamp). Although I do have cheat meals and have encountered the occasional binge, I'm still learning and a work in progress. My next goal weight is 175 and then I'll re-evaluate to see where to go next. I think I'll end up around 160-165 and I would be totally happy with that! Looking into plastics, hopefully in December I can get my first surgery (breast lift & aug and arm lift) and 6wks later go back for an extended tummy tuck.

Could I ask how much your procedures cost? I'm looking to get a breast lift with implant, arm lift, and tummy tuck.

Yes. It's the Liposuction and Cosmetic Surgery Institute. They have a Naperville location which is where I went cause it's closer to me but I think they also have Oakbrook and Chicago locations. Dr Ross and Dr Al M. Dr Ross performs his more extensive surgeries at the Chicago location, there they have an in house surgical center and a hotel across the street where they have you stay overnight for observation.

I recently had a consult with Dr Ross and Dr M at Liposuction and Cosmetic Surgery Institute in Naperville. They both have a lot of experience and good track records. I'm going to be having an extended tummy tuck, breast lift w/ augment and an arm lift. They'll do the breasts and arms together but the tummy will have to be a separate surgery. I'm planning on scheduling my first procedure with Dr Ross in December.
