I'm hungry all the time and certain smells are making me nauseous. I hope your pregnant and not me!!

I had some 5 weeks out and was fine
-
Hi everyone. So something happened to me that I am kinda scared about. Last Thursday I was leaving the house, I got to my car and sat down and suddenly I smelled something so overpowering that nausea came over me, I was gagging and coughing and just felt really sick. This morning the same thing happened. I smelled something, got nauseous and had to rush to the bathroom. Has this happened to anyone after surgery??? I am really scared that I'm pregnant. I'll take a test tomorrow but has anyone had similar experience?

Not losing weight
bethxxx replied to TropicalGirl1205's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
It changes all the time for me. Sometimes I lose 5lbs a week sometimes 2lbs. But I'm always losing everyday so I'm happy. You should expect to have stalls, pretty much everyone does and my surgeon and nut say its very normal -
There are lots of ways to make friends but it can be difficult, here are some ideas I thought of: Join a club Introduce yourself to someone at the gym Use mutual friends, do you have an acquaintance you think could be a friend? Get a current friend to introduce you to his friends. This one has worked a charm for me in the past. Find a new hobby Remember to try and accept every invitation you get. Once you start turning things down no one will invite you anymore Maybe you have a work mate you could invite for a few drinks Volunteer to help a charity Take a night class You could try meeting someone at a bar. I'm 20 and I've done this but the friends never last. On the other hand my boyfriend has had mates for 10+ years that he met at bars. He is very social though, way more then me. If you have a girlfriend or wife, set up a double date with one of her friends and her husband. This is how I met my best friend plus many others. I hope this helps!!

Not losing weight

Don't worry!!!!! The exact same thing happened to me. I asked my surgeon he said it was 100% normal. The body loses weight, then it needs to stabilize at that weight before it starts losing again. I have started losing again now but I didn't for about 2 weeks. You will start again too don't worry -
Should I be reading the after surgery posts?
bethxxx replied to LOVESAQHA's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think it's best to read everything you can before you have surgery. You need to know the good, bad and the ugly before you can make a decision. You need to weigh up the risks and see if its worth it for you -
I wasn't supposed to but I had acrylic nails on. They said it was fine for me to take the nail polish off my toes instead of ruining my fingernails nails I got the week before haha

I had 3 glasses of wine at a girls night out last night and I was tipsy. It used to take 6-8 just to get tipsy. It's pretty funny, I'm such a cheap date now, don't need dinner, get tipsy off 3 wines hahahah -
I had Chinese food for valentines day, I shared Mongolian lamb with my partner. I had one small spoon of fried rice and 3 pieces of lamb. I was full but I had no problems. Maybe you ate to fast or to much?

*Rolls eyes* Do I really have to give up Coke?!
bethxxx replied to MK1986's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My doc says you can have whatever you feel comfortable with. I tried a tiny sip of fizzy drink and my tummy was so upset I wouldn't try it again for a few months if ever. My nut told me that some people open the bottle, leave it in the fridge open for a few hours then drink it. It's kind of flat but helps with the pain and discomfort. I have tried it but I don't really feel the need. I was a coke zero addict before surgery, I would drink 2-3 litre bottles. now I haven't had any in months and I don't feel like it -
Advice please?!

I always weigh after a poop, I never weigh before hand to see the difference though, I just poop then weigh. I also get naked, take off my jewelry and hop on and off like 3 times, just to be sure hahah

I'm down 46lbs, 26lbs was Pre op. I'm loving life too!! My clothes are looser and people are complementing me about the loss. Are you exercising?

I know other people have posted quiche recipes but I just made these and they are so delicious!!! Ingredients Egg Bacon Spring onion cheese Frozen puff pastry squares Salt Method 1. Pre heat oven to 160 Celsius 2. Spray muffin tray with oil 3. Cut circles out of the pastry and put in muffin tray holes 4. Cook bacon in frying pan 5.Mix all ingredients together 6. Spoon mixture into muffin tray, I filled up the pastry cups all the way but as you'll see from the pic they did rise a bit. 7. Cook for 12-15 mins or until pastry is golden brown They are really yummy, I am 4 weeks out and can eat almost half of one.
