I said to my boyfriend that she is just jealous that I'm doing this. He said that's not true and that she thinks its unnatural and shouldn't be done. But whatever because I'm 2 days out and can't wait to be the new me!!! -

Help! 4day post op. Not sure about diet

Puréed food is any good that had been blended or mashed to be a soft smooth consistency, like baby food. My dietician says I can purée whatever food I like and to try spaghetti bolognaise, lasagna and Mac and cheese -
To anyone who has had a tummy tuck, can you see the scars from getting the sleeve after? Or is it just the TT scar you can see?

Good luck ! -
I agree with this, I see no point in arguing with someone who is obviously doing it on purpose. I think ignoring them is the best option

Help! 4day post op. Not sure about diet

You should ask your surgeon but mine is 2 weeks of liquids then 2 weeks of puréed food -
I have a drain in right now!! It doesn't hurt but it kinda weirds me out having it in. It just sits under my shirt so I don't have to look at it. They empty it once a day and I think I'm getting it out on Thursday (I had surgery yesterday). It's uncomfortable to shower with it but that's probably the worst thing.

That's so horrible that someone said they won't talk to you anymore. Maybe you should try and educate him about, to show it's a tool for life and not some quick fix. I would have with the bfs mum if I thought there were any point. She is so unreasonable she wouldn't listen anyway. If you know you want to do this then don't let anyone's words stop you!! -

I started this process in April last year and was sleeved yesterday. I didn't have to wait that long as my insurance covered me without any waiting periods but it gave me time to think, get my life sorted out and make sure I was making the right choice. Hope it goes fast for you!

When I was on my Pre op diet my boyfriend used to eat McDonald's, pizza etc. I sat him down and told him that he is making it extremely difficult, even more difficult then it already is and that I was upset about it. He didn't eat it again in front of me thank god! Could you say something like that to the people your with?

I would stop replying to this thread if I were you Sarah, obviously people just want to attack you -
I have two dresses hung up on my wall at home that I cannot wait to fit in to!!! So motivational to look at them everyday and be inspired! You better hold them to that shopping spree hahaha

I'm feeling ok, lots of pain yesterday but I have a button that releases pain killers into my IV which really helps. I woke up about every hour last night which was horrible and have been awake since 4am now. I am feeling better but if I forget to keep pressing the button the pain comes back pretty bad. I had to do 3 weeks of a Pre op diet to shrink my liver. It was pretty hard and I cheated a couple of times so your lucky you only have to do 2 days haha. Starting early might be a good idea though, it reduces the risk of anything happening in surgery

Sometimes I wish I'd never heard of this sugery

Is there a weight watchers office you can actually go into and ask for a print out? Might have more luck that way. Otherwise maybe try calling up saying you have a complaint and can you speak to the manager there. A lot of people will tell you their experiences, both good and bad but in the end you have to make the decision for yourself. Just because someone's niece got sick doesn't mean you will. Then again just because someone else did great it doesn't mean you will. If you have done a lot of research I'm sure you can make an educated decision by weighing up the pros and cons. Good luck x -
I'm sure it will go fast, just keep busy!!! Are you on a Pre op diet? It's awesome that you have support from your husband, my boyfriend was so nervous for me. But he is happy with how I am going now (had surgery yesterday) and he has been supportive all along. Good luck!

Surgery today! Dealing with boyfriends num
bethxxx replied to bethxxx's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks everyone. The surgery went well, I was in a lot of pain when I first came out but I have a button that releases pain medication into my IV which really helped. I woke up every hour through the night either in pain or just uncomfortable. I decided at 4am that I'm not going back to sleep because its just not working so maybe later on today I'll sleep. The hospital and all the staff are amazing! All the nurses and the surgeon are so so nice, answered every question I had. The nurses on my ward make me feel really safe, they are just so kind!! If anyone has any questions feel free to ask me and good luck to those who are having surgery soon xx
