Finally Approved! There were a few moments I thought that this would never actually haappen. After wht I went through with Dr. David Kims office I almost gave up. My new doctors staff have been so encouraging and so supportive. I couldn't ask for better. I finally have my approval letter in hand. Ihave been contacting Dr. Stowers office trying to get things scheduked, and make my last steps toward the start of a new life.

I just recieved a call from Dr. Stowers office and I'm back at square one. Since Dr.Kim and his staff putting me off for 2 months I have to start the three month diet & everything over again. I'm starting to feel like I'm fighting a losing battle. I called my mother expecting some kind of support. What I got was her anger. She had lap-band in 2010 with my new doctor, and it turned into big "told you so" thing with her. So, I guess I'm starting over. I apprecite any...

Ok, so about 6 months ago I went to Dr. David Kim and made the first steps towards my new life with my sister at my side. After our consult we started the insurance requirements to get approval for surgery. After my sister and I completed the required 3 month pre-op program Dr. Kim and his staff suddenly stopped returning our phone calls and e-mails. We arrived unannounced and were directed to a lab to be tested for nicotine. This was the last we hard from Dr. Kims office. We have since found surgeon named Dr. Stowers. Now we are waiting on approval then a scheduled date for surgery. I'm so beyond ready for this. Wish us luck.
