Ya, I can relate OG36. I have been in a stall for about 8 weeks now. I had surgery 3/5 and have lost 40 lbs. but that was all by the end of april. I continued to lose inches for a few more weeks, but that has stopped as well. I have increased my Water and am revamping my diet as well. Hoping to break this stall. Its getting discouraged, but I know that this can't be the end. I started exercising too. I definitely need to stay off the scale for a while, cuz its driving me INSANE. Im happy with what I have lost, would never have been able to be were I'm at with out VSG, but I was hoping for that slow continue 1 to 2 pound loss a week like every one else is getting. Feeling frustrated.

I need some help or maybe encouragement. I have been in a stall for about 7 weeks now, stopped losing inches about 4 weeks ago. I totally need to put the scale away. I've lost 40 lbs. but have gone up and down between 166 and 168. This am it was 165, I was ecstatic, then this afternoon I'm 169. SO frustrating. I have increased my protein/water a few days ago. Don't exercise as much as id like, but started that too. My day: Am Protein shake w/ milk 180 cal 40 gram protein 20 oz Water 1 small banana ? 10oz water 2 slices of pepper jack cheese 140 cal 2 slices of turkey 70 cal 10oz water 1 med peach ? 1 Protein Shake w/ milk 180 cal 40 protein Then for dinner a small dark green salad Then I will be drinking more water... Just wondering if there is something I should/could be doing different. Help.....

YES !!!! I was sleeved 3/5 and have been in a 7 week stall. Stopped losing inches 4 weeks ago. I am re evaluating my protein and calorie intake. Might take a look at MFP. I've lost 40 and would never have been able to do that with out vsg, but seeing others pass me up is very frustrating -

I have been in a stall for about 7/8 weeks now. I was sleeved 3/5/13 and the scale stopped moving some time in April, but I lost inches for a bit, then that stopped. Starting to think that this is it. Im not ready for the weight to stop coming off. I am going to increase my Protein and Water and pray that I kick start the weight loss again. Frustrated, but still glad I got the sleeve. -
There hasn't been much talk in here, but I thought I would drop a note and let you all know that I set my surgery date for march 5th and will be flying to San Diego on the 4th. It's all set and I start me pre-op diet next tues. Im going with Dr. Quionens. Im VERY excite, but nervous too. I started out in the group under 200, but at this point Im about 205, should drop a little the next 3 weeks. SO glad I have made this decision.

Im going to be sleeved in TJ MX in feb/mar, but I has started taking my Vitamins already, Biotin, D3 and 2 multi gummies. I also have started walking a lot, just to get used to the routine. I am excited too, not so much worried about the hair loss, that comes back. More excited to lose the fat that won't.

Curious About Excess Skin And Other Questions
kittvalley posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Im just curious if those of you that have had the VSG and started at 220 or less have less of a problem with excess skin. It would seem to me that if we have less weight to lose, we would have less excess skin. Also, I was reading something about Protein injections. This is the first time I have read anything about that. Im not sleeved yet, planning on going 3/2013. Also, If you went to Mexico, did you tell your doctor before you went, needing much post op care from your primary? Thanks Robyn -

Hey Louie girl, do you get concerned about losing to much weight? You look fabulous by the way! Glad both you and shep finally replied...I was starting to wonder I will check back later. -
slojo, I am so curious about your journey...were you afraid? Did you take some one with you? Did you stay at the recovery house? How long were you there? were there any hidden costs? how long were you off work after? SOOO many questions... I am really excited to do this.

Hi Sheppy, You SOOO have my story girl. I haven't been sleeved yet, am 197lbs and have tried so hard to do it on my own to no avail. I have a son 6, and I don't want to be the fat mom who is too out of shape or to embarrassed to get there with him. I am 41 also. I have been surfing this idea of mine for almost a year. I started out thinking that I wold do the lap band, but I dont want the hassle of fill etc. I want a permanent salution. I am planning on going to Dr. Almanza in March 2013, when I can afford it. I haven't confirmed with them, but I will when I get the $. It will be nice chatting with you. It looks like it been a while since anyone has been here. Hope to here from you soon.

Starting Some More Conversation!

I am also extremely glad that there is finally a group that meets my needs and I can relate to. I feel the same way about being 200lbs and thinking "am I REALLY going to do this?" But I want it THAT bad. My S/O doesn't want me to go. The closer to the time when I have the $$ the more I think to my self..."I dare you to stop me", FINALLY, I am going to do something for ME! And no one is going to stop me. He is just afraid of the "mexico" thing, that I might get killed or kidnapped by cartel or some thing. I have been surfing this plan for almost a year and haven't heard anything about people who are going over for WLS getting shot or kidnapped. I am ready! My plan is to go in March 2013, so if there are other peeps like me, considering the journey...lets chat -
