I saw a recipe that you add 1/4c of cottage cheese to your scrambled eggs. I thought that was a great way to add more protein.

I am 4 weeks tomorrow & I just realized last night I can take 2 swallows at a time!!! It is wonderful!! I've really struggling to get all my liquids in (n this will defiantly help)

Does anyone know how may grams of protein are in a whopper jr. with cheese ( no roll or condiments, just meat and cheese)?

I have the same pain. I'm 3 weeks out tomorrow. I just noticed today....as I got up from the couch that my stomach wasn't hurting as bad. I feel like I'm finally healing inside.

My pre-op diet was 7 days of sugar free carnation instant breakfast with 1c of 1% milk, 6 a day. I lost 7lbs on that. I will never drink that again!!!!

I'm right there with you!! My surgery was Feb.26. A week after surgery I had lost 7lbs. The dr took me off all my bp meds. b/c I had low bp. Then I gained 2lbs, and haven't lost anything since. I think my scales lie!! My clothes feel looser. I know I lost, but the damn stupid scales won't say so!!!

I have it to!! I'm 2 weeks out & still have a lot of bruising. I'm even bruised where I got the blood thinner injection on the sides of my stomach.

I have a incision that every time I bend over, pulls open and bleeds. I'm 2 weeks post op. Do you think a stomach binder would help until it heals? There is no sign of infection. Here is an example... this morning I rolled over to turn the alarm off, I got up & it was bleeding again.

I would really appreciate your thoughts on this!! I started my nut. supervised diet on Sept. 21,2012. I weighed 215lbs. & I'm 5'2" & lost 20lbs. On my 1 week pre-op liquid diet I lost 6lbs. I had my gastric sleeve surgery on Feb.26 2013. One week after surgery I has lost 6 more pounds. Last Monday I was feeling really sick, no energy, & faint....and my blood pressure was very low. I went to see my family doctor and he took me off all my meds. Thanks goodness!!! That was one of my main goals!! I've been off all my blood pressure meds. for 1 week today & I gained 2lbs. I'm still on the full liquid diet....I'm eating about 400-600 calories a day. I'm getting all my Water, Vitamins, and protien in. My problem is I HAVEN'T LOST ANYTHING IN A WEEK & I GAIN 2LBS!! I know it has only been 2 weeks today from my surgery, & I still have swelling, AND my body is adjusting to no blood pressure meds. BUT I'm frustrated!! Am I exspecting too much to soon? Why am I lot losing?

Same here Jody!!! It took about 3-4 days post op for my vision to return normal. I was told it was from the nausea meds.

I AM!! I AM! I AM! My husband weighed himself this morning at 6'1" he weighs 188, I am 183!!!!!!

I'm going to have my husband weigh himself. I think I might weigh less then him now!!! YEAH!!!!!

My dr required 6 monthly visits with their nut. So even if I wanted to do surgery before 6 months, they wouldn't do it.

I was really feeling sick, shaky, & weak yesterday. I went to the dr n he took me off all my bp meds. I feel so much better today. Yesterday was the most I was up and walking around & the incesion where they pulled my stomach through really hurt last night. I feel 100% better today. I even loaded the dish washer. I didn't get any of my prescription for pain meds or nausea filled. I've been ok. If I needed something I would have taken a tylenal.... but it was never that bad. Now this morning for breakfast I had about 1/3c cream of wheat with double strength milk, it was a little thick, but I ate it very slow. I thought I was ok waited a half hour, than took 2 sips of poweraid 0, n I got sick n barfed. I only barfed those 2 sips of poweraid, that was a first.

Amanda... Congrats on your approval!!! I'm a stylist also. I had surgery 1 week ago today. I was planning on going back to work today, but I am not ready. I'm going back Thursday mainly nails & only 4 hr shifts for the first week. If I could do it again, I wouldn't work any this week.

NO!!!! It still has a taste. Tomorrow I will be 1 week post-op & I have been adding it to my pudding, broth, & yogurt. I definatly changes the taste a little.

Has anyone put an ice pack on any of your incision areas to help with swelling? The dr didn't say any thing about it.

I just had my gasrtic sleeve surgery on Tuesday, February 26. I slept away most of Tuesday. When I was finally alert on Wednesday, I really couldn't see anything close up. Everything was very very blurry. I do have reading glasses, but I rarely wear them. This was really alot different. If I want to see or read anything, I have to hold it at arms length. My eyes have never been this bad. The Dr thought it might be from the anestesia & my nurse thought it was from pain meds. Has anyone else had this problem, and if you did, how long will it last? It seems like my pupils wont dialate??? I have had previous surgeries and never had this side effect. I haven't had any pain meds since 1am this morning. I meet with the dr on Monday for a follow up & he said if thing don't change with my eyes he's going to refer me to an optometrist.
