Surgery date 10/11/12. 255. Current weight 175. 5'6" female. Some what sedentary due to lupus. Still have 25 pounds to get to goal. Slowed down drastically on 1000 calories a day. Don't know if this is too much or not enough. Getting 80 protein/ 40-60 carbs/20-40 fat. If anyone has ideas, I'm all ears!! Thanks!!

I set my goal for New Years 2013 to be below 200 pounds. With stalls and holidays I have struggled to get there. I am now at 199.6 a few days before New Years. My sw was 255 on 10/11/12 and have lost over 55 pounds. What a blessing this has been. -

I was sleeved 10/11/12 so I'm 4 weeks out. Still doing a protein drink a day. String cheese, tuna, eggs and bison patty was real good. Taking it slow. Lost 40 pounds since 9/11/12 but only maybe 10 since surgery. I think they call it a stall. Best wishes to all!! -

I understand days not wanting to eat. Three weeks out on soft foods. Hard to even get down an egg. Watching others.....they eat so fast, wash down their food, etc. We are on a different path. Not sure how we will fit in with meals with others?? Sleeve feels best right now with pudding and fluids but I know we have to eat also. Best wishes to all!!! -

The drain is to help your body remove excess fluid from the surgery. I am guessing it keeps it from going thru your kidneys. Not sure. I'm glad it is out though along with staples. Feel much better. Twelve days post surgery and down 35 pounds from original weight including 13 post surgery. On my way...........best wishes to all!! -

Belly band like a girdle you wear for a couple of weeks. It's interesting how differently surgeons do things! -

I was sleeved 10/11.....home.....trouble getting everything down. Gassy stuff subsided. Crushed pills worst part of everything. Belly band keeps moving on me. Real sore like hit in belly with baseball bat. Can't wait to have soft foods. Tired of protein shakes. Another week or so of full liquids. Gets better each day.
