    Paying Out of Pocket

I was sleeved on Oct. 30th in Tijuana, MX by Dr. Garcia. I paid $4,700 for everything. I only had to pay a $500 deposit and then the balance was due the day I arrived and checked in. I paid by CC for the deposit, then by cashier's check for the remaining balance. Best thing I did for myself!!!

This is a very personal decission only you ca make. Everyone has an opinion... just make sure whatever you decide, it's yours and you 100% are comfortable with it.

    Mexico antibiotics (facelit)

YES!!!! I also experienced this!!!! ughhh.... it's be soooo long since I had one that I had forgotten just how awful they are!!! I was on the exact same kind.
  15. I complete understand where you are coming from. I am either sitting in front of the computer or on the couch in front of the TV. I was sleeved on Oct. 30th. What I did was I made myself on my lunch break or 15 minute break was go outside and walk. At first it was just around the block, now I'm up to 1.5 miles in less than 30 min. I live in WI, so it's pretty chilly here right now, but I just plan for it and do it. It actually feels great and I crave it. I still find myself once I get home from work, wanting to just sit in front of the TV... it's so easy to do... but I am constantly talking to myself... quietly LOL!!! To do something, anything... and then later on in the night I allow myself to sit and watch TV. not sure if this will help you.. but it's what I'm doing for myself. I'm so proud of myself for getting up to 1.5 miles... we haven't gotten any snow here yet, but when it comes... not sure what I'll do but I will get in my daily walk. Good Luck!!!

    3 days post op

If possible walk walk walk.... the first day was the worst for me as far as gas goes... I didn't even feel the drain. I tried the gasx strips and I don't think it really did anything for me. I litterally had my husband patting my back like a baby to help with the shoulder/back gas pains. Day two - PAIN FREE!!! So sorry you are hurting.... just hang in there.

    My face...

Could it be possibly an allergic reaction to something???
  18. Hi fellow sleevers!! I could really use some help or advice on what types of foods or drinks I could have to help increase my energy levels. I am currently 6 weeks out from my surgery date of Oct. 30th. I'm down about 33 lbs. But I feel as if I'm kind of in a rut. food doesn't really interest me, although the weird thing is, is that I'm always thinking about food and what kinds to eat. But when it comes to eating, ehhh, not really interested. I would love to hear some advice on the kinds of foods to eat for energy. It's so weird and different how life changes after the sleeve, when my life used to revolve around food and now not so much.... I just wish I had the energy levels to get really active. Thanks for any advice!!!

    Travel soon after surgery

I don't think it would be too soon.... I went to Mexico for my sleeve and flew back home to WI from Mexico 4 days later and then back to work on the 7th day. I would just take it easy and don't do anything to strenuous...
  21. Congrats!!! I commend you for having the sleeve AND quitting smoking!!! AMAZING! Quick question.... why would Protein drinks & bars slow down weight loss??? i thought they were important to weight loss?
