Sleeve: The UNTOLD Story
TheNEWME! replied to NotTelling2013's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I too was sleeved by Dr. Garcia in Tijuana at Mi Doctor Hospital. I did not experence ANYTHING like you've described. Thank god! I'm so sorry your experience was rough. I went through R4AChange and my coordinators were amazing and there for anything and everything I needed. I did not see any naked people.. thank god! Didn't wait very long at alll.. and yes their way down there is a little different but I would reccomend it to anyone. -

TheNEWME! replied to Tekara3927's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Congratulations!!!!! Isn't it an amazing feeling!!!! I too hit Onederland this weekend weighing in at 199!!! YAY for US!!! -
Ditto on making sure you get enough Protein in. Protein is what feeds our muscles and keeps them happy. If you don't feed your body with the necessary protein it needs, your body will first attack your muscles for weight loss instead of fat. I work out with a personal trainer 3x week and we mostly concentrate on building muscle. I'm not even doing any cardio yet. I plan to start cardio in April to start training for a 5k...

I was sleeved by Dr. Garcia on Oct. 30th, 2012 in Tijuana, MX. I also used alma through r4ac and coordinators Rosie and Melissa once at the Hotel and Hospital. They took VERY good care of me! any specific questions you have in mind? So far I've lost 53 lbs in 4 months. -
Tell me about the first few months?
TheNEWME! replied to amytug's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Head hunger was the most emotional thing for me to deal with... and because you can only take a couple of bites of things... I struggled with wanting to eat more or finishing something, I wasn' t hungry, it was just the fact of mind over matter I suppose. But I'm about 4 months out now and can eat pretty much whatever I want... however I choose what goes in my mouth and make good decisions. I too am the cook in the family... and that part is actually not bad at all. I kind of enjoy cooking more now than before and don't really have the urge to indulge... I just take my little portion of whatever I made and it's all good. Just take one day at a time... -
I also LOVE my personal trainer!!! She is the best thing to happen to me. She is encouraging, pushes me when I need it and above all... BELIEVES in me! When all this fat comes off, I want the beautiful toned muscle look to shine through... I'm only 4 months out, and have about 50 more lbs to go to hit goal... but when that time comes I don't want the saggy skin.. I want the toned and defined look.

Questions about weight loss and losing more weight
TheNEWME! replied to rxkid2384's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So far in my own journey... and I completely understand everyone is different... I have not had a stall at all. (knock on wood!) I do NOT weigh myself daily.. that would make me insane! I weigh myself every Saturday am. I'm not sure if I haven't had a stall due to the fact I'm not weighing in every day or if it's because my body is just doing its thing. I do expect it to happen sooner or later... I'm about 3 1/2 months out and down about 51 lbs. Just last week I only .08 lbs... and some weeks I lose as much as 3 lbs. I work out a minimum of 3 days a week. I admit I do NOT get my Water in like I should nor do I get my Protein in like I should. So my advice would be to not weigh yourself daily... drink as much water & protein as you can... andhang on for the ride. -
