I'm 27 and I was sleeved 8/24th and already hit onederland started at 240 now I'm 194 and can't wait to lose more!! I'm so glad I did this surgery and I wish I had did it a year ago when I first started thinking about it

Has anyone tried mixing a protein powder with a jello mix and used that as small jello protein bites? Just an idea I'm thinking about trying

That's a good idea! I work midnights and its hard for me to work 12 hrs and not eat anything cuz it's so late. But that wud probably help me more than hurt me so I think I'll try that! Thanks!

I kno regular noodles are high in carbs and we are to stay away from them. But what about egg noodles?

Just to eat one cup of food it takes me forever smh I had a half of cup of salad and I'm full as ever lol I just threw the rest away smh

I tried cottage cheese with pineapples yesterday and the pineapples were delicious but the cheese just tasted sour. Idk I need to figure out how to get the taste better I guess more sweet to go with the pineapples ?

Yes that's true I will say that now I doesn't bother me watching them eat things that I can't or shouldn't have. Pre op it was horrible but now I can watch them eat pizza, spaghetti, steak,etc (my favs) and not be bothered. Although I am still hungry I just reach for things I can eat and I'm satisfied

I am five weeks out now

I had hunger feelings a week after my surgery that's so funny how people differ wit this surgery lol but we r losing that's all that matters

I actually just had this experience and went to the surgeon about it and he just pulled them out and I'm fine now

U look good girl!! At 4weeks I was so disappointed becuz I didn't see a major difference physically I guess cuz I see myself everyday but when I started getting out more and more active everyone kept tellin me how much smaller my face was! So I did a before and after picture and really saw the difference for myself!! I cudnt believe it!!!!! At 5weeks now I've hit onederland so girl there is more enjoyment to come from this surgery! This is the best thing we cud have done for our health!! Congratulations!!!

Yes!!! After my surgery I was tryin to talk to my fiancée about the things I wa going thru and he just didn't get it. Then I don't kno anybody that went thru it that I wud talk to all the time or that I wud hang wit. I was also lookin for recipes specific to this surgery...so when I found this community I was like YES!! like a little kid in a candy store!!!

I have always been on my fitness pal but I never had any friends, now bcuz of this App I have TONS of friends and all are people that are eating things and ways I can relate to! Now these are the only apps I really use on my phone!!

After my surgery I had so many questions for people that have been thru the surgery also. I went on my Iphone and typed in vertical sleeve in the app search box and low and behold this app popped up! At first I thought it wudnt be populated and that it wud be boring and I wud end up deleting it anyway. But I am soooo glad I found it bcuz it has answered so many questions and been so informative in helpin me wit this. I only wish I had found it while I was pre op

I have 3 sons and my youngest is 5 almost 6. I started this journey at 240lbs and now after being sleeved 8/24 I now weigh 194...and my 5 yr old son is now able to wrap his arms all the way around my waist when we hug.... Brought such a smile to my face and I held him longer and tighter

I told the people that were closer to me and that I deal wit on a daily basis. Some co-workers and that's only bcuz they had it to and I was researching. I feel it's none of their business if its not someone that cares about my well being. I'm not ashamed by far cuz enjoying this weightloss and what I'm seeing in the mirror!!

Just bought some isopure and I like it actually it doesn't taste any worst than crystal lite or watered down apple juice to me. So for 40 grams of protein I think it's worth it
