I'm not really sure how to offer you advice except to say I can understand. Of course lying wasn't the right approach, but I can see how it happened. The problem is that now when you start losing weight he is either going to worry that you are really sick (since you just had surgery and now you are losing weight), or he is going to figure out you lied to him. Neither of those are good. The first option opens you up to the temptation to lie even more and it will spiral out of control and you won't be able to enjoy the new, healthy you. The second option is to do nothing and hope he doesn't figure out it was all a lie. Your third option is to go in to work tomorrow and tell him you got super nervous talking to him because you didn't want him to judge you and so you told him something that wasn't entirely truthful and then come clean. I want to be clear that I really am not judging you or trying to tell you what to do. I have gotten myself into a few doozies in my life so I really really understand how this happened. But now you have to figure out what you are going to do. I suggest you really think through all of these possibilities and the consequences of each and decide prayerfully what your best option is. Hugs.

If this was me, and trust me, this totally sounds like something I would have done. I would go to the boss asap and tell him you are having wls and that you intented on not telling anyone due to the judgement some people tend to pass on this sugery and when he pressed you got flustered and didn't know what to say. Tell him your doctor has urged you to have this procedure due to health concerns. There are too many lunch and food issues around work and your food and rapid weight loss are going to draw major attention to you. If your boss has your back then it will help. I only told one co-worker and boy was I glad, we were at a work lunch and the boss and others were almost force feeding me and commenting on what small amounts I was eating when she stepped in and helped me get out of it, by saying "she is doing so good on her diet". So it will help you in the long run to have an alli in this in the work place plus if you are like me, if you lose almost 50 pounds in 12 weeks people are going to be talking! I just tell people- I don't give a rats ass what they think of me, I am thrilled with my surgery and my skinny size 16 jeans.

I love curves, no men allowed and not a lot of skinny women. It's a great place to get started. If I have to do it at home I won't do it, I have to go somewhere to be accountable.

No changes here. My hubbie met me when I was thin, we got married had children, of course i gained weight and a lot of it. . then i had the surgery and now i'm thin again like before. He has never changed, I have never changed except for i'm more active and can do stuff which was alittle hard to do as a obese person. We've been married 34 years and life is good.

I wouldn't say all the tips are for sleevers, but then again, not eveyone follows the guidelines. It's more general but I still felt if might be useful for some...kind of like an idiot's guide.

I have read some really far out posts in the forums about stomachs stretching back out to their original size or larger, having to redo the surgery, so on and so on. Then I've seen posters flock to tell their story of the same thing happening to someone they knew. So much hearsay can really ramp up the rumors. There may be a unique case or two when something unusual happened to a sleeved stomach, but it is certainly not the norm. Then there are so many new members here that ask questions about their sleeve stretching out that it strikes fear in the minds of readers.
I like facts nice and tidy whenever I can get them that way.

    I can't wait to:
Sit with my legs crossed again
Make sand castles on the beach with my teenage kids to make up for time I refused to go the local beach
    Take full body shot pics
Give all of my clothes away
To hear for the first time in my life "you are thin!"
For my husband to be able to pick me up

It took my husband a while to come around, but he finally did. My problem is, his sister. She thinks because I have been losing on the pre diet that I can just keep it up. Well the surgery is my motivation for now, would I stick with it if I didn't have that motivation? And I know I'm accountable to my doctor and dietician. At least the surgery would keep me in check.
I finally have come to the conclusion that its my body and my decision!

MrsGina reacted to Lisa :) in One Year Out....what A Ride!
Almost the entire day went by before I realized that my surgery was one year ago today!! It's actually nice not to constantly be thinking about my weight and food all the time. I'm just enjoying my life sooooo much I don't have time to think about that stuff anymore!!! And I can honestly say, this has been the BEST year in my 43 years on the planet!!! it hasn't always been easy, but "The hard is what makes it great"!!!
I have fulfilled a 5 year dream to become a triathlete!! I did 3 triathlons this past summer and am planning on doing 5-6 next year. My goal now is to begin to do longer races and eventually do an Ironman (2.5 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, ending with a marathon). It sounds crazy, I know.....but I just having a burning desire to see what my body can do!!
I still have about 40 pounds to lose and I imagine it's going to take me some time to lose it as I'm consistently losing about 2-4 pounds per month (which I'm totally ok with). I can pretty much eat anything at this point....but the amount depends on the food. meat and raw fruits and veggies still fill me up super fast with just a few bites. My relationship with food has completely changed....I now eat to live instead of living to eat!!!
I absolutely LOVE my sleeve and i 100% recommend this journey to those who are still on the fence about it. I've heard a lot of people say that they don't want to "take the easy way out"...in fact, I was one of those people for many years. I always thought I should be able to "do it on my own". Well, I didn't because I couldn't. I needed help. And this journey has been anything BUT easy!! It's the hardest thing I've ever done, but it's also the best thing I've ever done!!!!
So, here are some pics. The first one was taken 3 months before my surgery. There is also one of me with both of my legs in my BIG GIRL pants (which I used to fill out completely!!!).

We're working on adding capabilities to our site and app which are similar to MFP. It's designed with Gastric Sleeve and other Bariatric members in mind. Do you have any suggestions on features you're unhappy with or would like to see changed or added within MFP ?

I noticed a lot of ppl use a writing font and lite color. I love to read what ppl have to say, but for me this is really difficult to read. Does anyone else have this problem? I know I tried it once but when I saw how others appeared, I changed it.
I love all the helpful information I get on this site.

Plenty of sagging with this 57 y/o but I'm of the "super obese" group and definetly will need panus removal due to repeated infections. My face is wrinkle~free so far but I expect that will change. I have so many problems caused by my obesity and feel so much better I can handle wrinkles. I still can't weigh myself on a regular scale so I don't weigh myself very much. I'm so glad I had surgery and am happy so many younger people are having surgery before their health is ruined. Hooray fo us 50's.

Made these for dinner tonight- 1 was more than enough for me (plus salad). The other adults in my family each ate 2. We all voted this is a definite do again!!!! Portion controlled.
    Lasagna Cupcakes
2 cup marinara sauce (I just used 1 jar)
3/4 pound ground beef or turkey
    24 wonton wrappers
    8 ounces shredded mozzarella
    3 ounces Parmesan cheese
    4 ounces Ricotta cheese
    (optional) basil for garnish
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray muffin tin (12) with cooking spray.
Brown beef and season with salt and pepper. Drain. Add sauce. Mix.
Begin with a wonton wrapper and press it into the bottom of each muffin tin.
Spread with a small spoonful of Ricotta cheese.
Top with a little meat sauce then some parmesan and mozzarella.
Use around 2 teaspoons of all the ingredients depending on your personal preference.
    Repeat layers ending with cheese.
Bake for 18-20 minutes or until edges are brown. Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes. To remove use a knife to loosen the edges then pop each lasagna out. Garnish with basil (if desired) and serve.
