Has anyone had the non-narcotic pain relief pump? How was it? Is it worth it? I've been considering this and would like some input. Thanks
-
So you can do both if need be?

Could it be possible that your vitamins make you sick? If I take my vitamins on an empty stomach, it makes me puke.

Hi Yasmine, I am pre op and have had the flu shot and still went through what your going through. We are in a flu epidemic so it's kinda expected. Keep your head up, spring is coming.

So happy classes are all done. But I came home and was really tired. There is a chocolate fudge cake on the counter and yep I did it. Started just a sliver off the cut part but it was sooo good had to have another. Feel kinda guilty but surgery is 7 days away just had to have it. I've been so good on the liver diet, I just caved. All I can say

January Newbies ! Progress ?
MrsGina replied to sarahzamudio1091's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'll tell you after the 22nd. Lol -
Yep, final class, it's only 7 hours long. Lol. My hubby is complaining cause he hates classes. Even for work. He sleeps through class, but always aces tests. He has to go, they require your support to attend with you. I think it's funny, but at least he's going.

Never imagined the difficulty....
MrsGina replied to Momof5boys's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I never could take vitamins on an empty stomach, always with milk or something. You may be that way too. -
This syrup everyone keeps talking about, do you find it in the pancake section or the coffee section of the store?

So sorry for you. I purchased a belly band from JCP for my surgery. From experience, it holds it all together. My Mom taught me this lil trick, don't know how I made it without one.

But, isn't that like a straw? I thought no sucking was allowed?

We have to have a drain tube?
MrsGina replied to banditchic's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
A drain tube has holes on the end to allow fluid to drain from abdominal area, usually blood and water drain out. They place it in the area they removed inside you with the other end out of you with a bulb on the end that has lite suction. When it's not putting out a lot they just pull it out. It's not that deep so it isn't that bad when they take it out. I've have several of them in the past. -
You know on the place above your picture when you make a post has a name like "Member", "Advanced Member". Etc.... Who puts that there and who pickes that name?

I read a book a long time ago that women's weight loss goes along with their monthly cycle. Actually, even after a full hysterectomy, I still find this to be my case. I really don't know if its true, but I will loose a lot the week after, I would normally have a period, but the weeks around that time my weight just trickles along. Who knows for sure, but it may help someone.

I'm a type 1 diabetic, and my surgeon didn't want to do the bypass because of dumping. Can't bring my sugar back up if I'm dumping..... So I guess he thinks you won't dump with sleeve. Others have said you do, I don't know.

4 months out and sleeve seems tighter
MrsGina replied to newgrandmother's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Im not big on exercising but i do go to curves and to me that's just enough. Don't want to overdo. Lol -
I have 11 days till surgery and want as much information as possible. It just baffles me that a pre op,diet would make ppl so upset. I feel,if I can do the pre,op,diet that I will have success for after surgery. Sorry for the commas my iPad has letters close together. Lol. I want to be successful, not just have surgery. It's not a magic bullet. Thank you so much. Love this post! I've lost 40lbs on pre op diet, that was hard work but I know that after surgery, I'm up to the challenge.
