First I would like to thank you all for your kind words and encouragement. Those days of pain and suffering after I got home from the hospital turned out to be an abses in my drain tube. It was full of puss and gunk, gross. Spent a full week in the hospital, (if your surgeon doesn't put you on antibiotics before, during and after, kick him)! They couldn't pin point where the infection was but worked to get it stopped. That week was my Hell week, no more concern for the sleeve, just concerned about this horrible infection. I spent the most part of the week in ICU again. Had to have a p.i.c.k. Line and IV Nutrition. They weren't sure if it was just the infection or a leak as well. They told me that either way the treatment I was getting would heal both. I thought I was emotional before, but for those of you with complications and being far from home, I feel your pain. Although Hubby was only 2 hours away I felt like it was a million miles. I am so glad to serve a God who will be there where ever I am! I really needed my Lord and Savior to get me through this one. I am home at my sons recuperating and finally getting some rest. May feel like going to my home next week, well see. Just enjoying the pampering for now. Still sore but getting used to the sleeve and all it's gurgling, lol still doing full liquids and that's ok with me. It's true what they say about forgetting to eat! Have to work on that. Not sure if I would do it again, too soon to tell. But what's done is done, just have to make it worth it. Also, I haven't weighed myself, just hasn't been a priority, well see. I know I use too many comas and the word just too much, sorry about that. Lol

I still wear the belly band, can't do without the support. I got mine from the hospital, JC Penney sells them too. -
Your kind words are truly appreciated, thank you!

How long will it take to feel better?

I was sleeved Jan 22, and my tummy is not happy. Started pureed yesterday and have been sleeping during the day and wide awake at night. I feel bloated and icky, planning on going back to clear liquids tomorrow. Kinda discouraged, will this get better? Keep feeling like I'm having spasms. -

Back on clear liquids, was able to get rid of some gas. And Prayed A lot, thank you Jesus! Had a good cry and a nap. Feeling better. I may be expecting to feel great too soon, just seems so many ppl on here bounce back really fast. I must be a slow bouncer. -
I couldn't have made it without one!

how much did you all lose on your pre op diet?
MrsGina replied to kathyhalls's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
40 lbs. Atkins type diet. 3 months to lose. -
Please don't make me laugh, it still hurts. Lol

I know it was discussed before but I can't find the posting. Why can't I continue to take Nexium?

I used to try warm prunes, now I'm doing maralax, no results yet. Kills me to pay all that money just to poop it away. Lol -
Same what I was told AussieLady. I've been on it for so long, at least 8 years. I read where some ppl never had it again after surgery, lucky ducks!

Thanks for the tip!

One other option is your pain management, if I take toridol I have this horrible anxiety attack. Just how I react to that certain med. Hope it gets better for you. -
Oh yah!

I'm 1 day post op and let me tell you that pain blocker is a God send. With out it, I would probably be in a lot of pain. If you can get it make sure tou do!
-
Yep, actually I'm 9 days out and still wish I had it.

Today was a really tough day, finally started to get gassy. Now I'm really bloated.
-
Yep, I'm set for the 22nd and am starting to get excited. Christmas time was tough, family kept trying to talk me out of getting it done. I lost 36lbs pre op so they said if I can do that I can do more. Well, my motivation is getting the surgery. But now that I'm almost there I found myself cheating a little. Yep, I need to have. 2 weeks can't come soon enough!

Spoke with my doc office this am and they said to continue to take what works for me, yippee. Thank You Jesus!

Simply marvelous! -
Thank you all so much, I was really worrying. Plus I tried creamy tomato Soup today and felt like I was carrying around a bowling ball. I would like to only deal with one issue at a time. Lol

Surgery was 7 days ago, I haven't had any pain killers all day, but every time I sit or lay down I fall asleep. A really deep sleep. I haven't seen any posts about anyone else doing this. It's kinda worrying me.
