When I made the decision to get sleeved, I put a fleece before The Lord and said if it got done this year it would be with his blessing. Now my surgeons office said they were all booked for this year. I did all the classes and all the appointments required, even lost 27lbs. I'm kinda discouraged, I really thought it was Gods will, that I go ahead. I keep praying for a miracle and that a day opens up in December. Am I pushing past his will? What do you all think?

Sleep Apnea Test...anything That Might Make Sleep Apnea Worse?
MrsGina replied to jujubeesmama's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I use one that is a mask but just covers your nose, works good for me. -
Take it easy, if you over do too soon, you build scar tissue and that can cause a lot of problems in the future.

Thank you all, what a relief! I was worried I would be this way forever. Lol

This is embarrassing, after my hysterectomy my whoo hoo has odor. I'm not sure it's from lack of hormones or unbreathable fat? I bath and shower all the time, wear deodorant down there and keep washing all the time. Am I abnormal?

I Can't Wait To Not Have To...
MrsGina replied to BrickHouse's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm thinking of things I want to do, like: ride a jip line, para sail, take a scuba diving class, golf again, walk to town (it's close). And most of all, Play with my Grand Daughter. And my all time fav. BREATH -
Just got back from a beautiful wedding. I thought they would have food I could eat, so no worries. Well I was wrong, there was all pasta, and I'm on the Adkins type pre diet. Well thankfully they had salad and for the kids they had chicken nuggets. So I peeled off the breading from the chicken and cut it up in my salad and made my own dinner. Got some exercise from dancing. Any other diet I would have said, oh well, and ate what was there. I think I'm finally learning to adjust food to my requirements, not just go with the flow. I hope I always stay true!

It took my husband a while to come around, but he finally did. My problem is, his sister. She thinks because I have been losing on the pre diet that I can just keep it up. Well the surgery is my motivation for now, would I stick with it if I didn't have that motivation? And I know I'm accountable to my doctor and dietician. At least the surgery would keep me in check. I finally have come to the conclusion that its my body and my decision!

Lol, I did the same thing. Enjoy all your favorites.

Warning About Constipation After Surgery
MrsGina replied to missy-la's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks for advice -
I was kinda worried how today was gonna go, but thank God it all worked out. My SIL made her famous cream cheese ball and I just put some on a stalk of celery instead of cracker. Turkey and a tossed salad for dinner, and I planned on a sliver of pumpkin pie but our Aunt brought a pumpkin pie trifle and it was all sugar free. I only had a half a cup of it. Just enough to enjoy but not too much. I am so glad I survived, and when everyone else was stuffed and actually hurting, I was content. Now I know I can do this! Thank you Jesus!

I noticed a lot of ppl use a writing font and lite color. I love to read what ppl have to say, but for me this is really difficult to read. Does anyone else have this problem? I know I tried it once but when I saw how others appeared, I changed it. I love all the helpful information I get on this site.

What Are You Working On?
MrsGina replied to cherrybombknits's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Glad to see this group, I knit, crochet, quilt, cross stitch, stamp. You name it I do it. I'm working on hats and scarfs for the local boys home, I just finished a prayer shawl. And I need to make a beaded Bracelet for my Grand daughter. Yep, I'm pre surgery and am on the shrink your liver diet. Keeps me from eating all the time. Lol Planning on taking a craft to family's Thanksgiving celebration so I won't try and munch stuff I can't have. Hope it works. Lol -

Shaker, where are you from? -
The specific reason is how I put it to The Lord, I guess that was silly of me. I wanted it done before end of year cause of the cost of deductible and co-insurance. You have helped put it into perspective for me. I guess I was trying to box God in. Just don't want to do this out of Gods will, I make a lot of mistakes without seeking him first.

Just spoke with the surgeons office, he is all booked for December. All my co-insurance and deductible was paid for this year, now I have to start all over again. I'm still praying for a miracle to happen so I can get done this year year.

I'm seeing Dr. Seltzer at IU North in Carmel, I think there just down the road from each other.

I was told you have to get B shots or under tongue cause your body won't use it right after surgery. swallowing wont do it, it has to go directly into blood stream. That's what my doc office said.

I've lost 27 lbs so far on the liver diet. 3 months. -
My doc. Told me to use Biotin, for skin, hair and nails. This diet is killing my beautiful nails, which was what I considered my most beautiful area. Doc said Biotin so I just started using it. Maybe it will help you too.
-
I was told to take it for my nails, pre-op diet is making my nails split

I purchased some UnJury chicken soup, it said not to use hot water. Yak, Luke warm soup is not appealing. Then I tried there strawberry shake, again temperature sensitive. If you can't ice it what's the use? They all seemed to clump no matter what I did, in coffee it was extremely gross. Any ideas?
