  1. So I'm starvin I decide oh its cool..grab the shrimp fm Popeye. ..well my goofy as is out of line. ..first off I didn't peel the coating off... I had some of the bread...I'm like ok I'm doing ok...got my blk as home n I'm feelin sum kinda way...so I sip Water to flush the crap dwn...MISTAKE. ..FIVE MINS LTR IM EARLING...NO FRIED FOODS YET..EAT SLOW. .OR IMMA BRAKE YR AS DWN AGAIN

    ..BELLY ONE... BLK ZERO. ..

It's all trial and error. And boy do I know it if I drink too soon after eating.

Pasta doesn't sit well with me. One small bite and my meal is done. It sits like an uncomfortable brick. Just that one tiny bite!!! Even if its my first and only bite in a meal.

    Fried foods hurt too.

I've had a lot of fun finding and creating healthier alternatives to my fave dishes that were less than stellar. That's a habit I started with Weight Watchers.

Oh, and beware of the Sleeve Authority! ;-)

  2. i think it depends on the surgeon. i am pretty sure that my surgeon does and if you are positive he makes you do a substance abuse program before surgery. to be on the safe side drink all the Water you can and try to get in some exercise. you could also go to a smoke shop and pick up something to clean your system.

Myth. They don't "clean" your system. They dilute your urine. It's still a gamble.

  3. If everybody in life only did what they were obligated to do' date=' well it wouldn't be a very good place.

I understand what you are saying but just because he isn't 'obligated' does that mean he should stay the same forever?[/quote']

It's his choice. But that doesn't mean there is fault involved. His or yours. You're changing. He is not. He is happy with status quo. You're not.

It is up to you to make a choice for yourself because that is exactly what he is doing. Making a choice.

I'm mostly saying its not fair to blame or vilify someone for not being where you are simply because they aren't. Once upon a time nothing was broken, but now you're wanting to fix them?

If you're not happy and both sides aren't willing to work together to make things work... Make choice and own it.

I feel very strongly about this mainly because I'm in a similar situation as you. But it's not fair to blame my hubby because he's content and I'm not. It's up to me to express myself and try and work together. And if we won't...

You are figuring out who you are. And it sounds like you're liking the you that you've discovered. Your current situation no longer meets your needs, and that's okay. Take your life by the reigns and make it great!

  4. Unless your relationship is a toxic relationship I don't think it's fair to say "settled". It seems to imply an elitist state of mind.

I think it would be more apropos to say your partner isn't your best match.

I say this as someone who is in a tumultuous marriage. I kept thinking I "settled". But that's not fair to my hubby. He doesn't deserve that implied insult that he is less than worthy. It just may be we are not a matched set after all. It's scary and painful to realize that.

But putting him down to build me up? Not cool.

  5. I liken it to a variety of things

Location in Mx being a biggie. We have 5 Walmart stores within a 15 mile radius. Prices on the same thing at each Walmart due to the poverty level in the location.

Think border towns (TJ) VS resort towns (Cancun) in Mx. Same as here.

Also, experience and skill. A new(er) surgeon needs to build a reputation compared to a well established surgeon. Same goes here.

And competition. Again think Walmart. Price matching anyone?

And venue. A full service hospital (Hospital Angeles) VS and a specialty hospital-esque clinic (Mi Doctor). Same goes here.

  6. There is a good chance Medical Tourism may be in my future for nips and tucks. I plan to reach out to my WLS for advisement but I plan to research on my own as well. I'm a bit of a planner so I'm researching now.

I came across a very alarming article from this past July about a facility that performs both WLS and plastic surgery.
