    Call me <evil> but...

My SIL only ever asked about my weight loos when it was fairly obvious I'd lost nothing, or gained. She never asks when I'm showing progress. She's not once commented on my loss this time. The closest she came was asking how my Mx WLS experience was.

Um I'm pretty sure the OP is Laura-ven!
  6. I'm glad things are going well so far. Please keep us informed of your recovery. I hope your surgery/recovery is uneventful.
  7. Let it go. You spoke. You have apologized. It is done. If some wish to fixate on your "foot in mouth" post, let them. That's their hang up not yours.

    Detox please!

I am looking for some good detox recipes out there. Soups. smoothies. I'd like to stay as organic as possible withe recipes. I am still losing steadily, however, incorporating certain goods back into my like has awakened the sleeping dragon and I'd like to focus on lulling her back to sleep. I think several days of dedicated detoxing in a healthy nutrient rich way would be best. In addition to kickstarting a detox regimine, I would like to cut back, and ultimately eliminate, caffeine. I've stocked up on my decaff green tea.

    Detox please!

Thanx. Truth be told, I'm thinking about food so much today. I'm not hungry but I want to eat. Must. Stay. Strong.

    Detox please!

So far, so good. I made a large pot of the WW cabbage/veggie Soup and portioned it out. I have my fresh fruits and veggies packed. I found an Asian inspired WW veggie soup I plan to make and portion out. I'm hoping this will help break the easy carb/slider behavior that was creeping back into my life. It is not a problem yet, but it can/will be if I don't nip it in the bud now. http://www.food.com/recipe/ww-zero-point-asian-soup-356836 http://www.food.com/recipe/ww-0-point-weight-watchers-cabbage-soup-128956

    Cheating....?

Tuesday is the day after tomorrow. Stay strong.
  12. I'm afraid to try to eat it. I'm afraid of sliming or throwing up. I'm afraid of pain. I'm afraid it will go down easy and my food addict brain will pounce. Pasta hurts. Low carb. Whole grain. Regular. One to two bites and it hurts. I suspect bread dull beg the same. The closest I've come to bread is a low carb tortilla. It takes me 45 minutes to finish it when I make my Breakfast wrap.

    Food Porn "Taboo"

My hubby and I were having this convo today. He's gained and I'm losing. I still out weight him by leaps and pounds but the gap is narrowing. Plus I'm taller.

    The Scale...

I'm mildly stressed about this. My old scale died and I had to replace it. I haven't weighed myself in about 3 weeks. I bought a new scale and it has me 4lbs heavier than my old scale and 1 lb lighter than my doctors scale. Did I gain, or was my old dying scale unreliable?

May I be so bold to suggest that those who justify and seek permission/absolution with regards to their drug of choice are the same ones who thought WLS was a cure? That the sleeve would do the fighting for them? When I went to Mexicali for my WLS Dr. Campos made an analogy that really stuck in my head. Summarizing the analogy: Losing weight, especially for the obese, is like a table with 4 legs. Two of the legs are WLS. The 3rd leg is choosing good fuel to put in your body as opposed to crap. The 4th leg is exercising. Get off your rear and move more. If you take any of those legs away from the table, the table does not function as well as it could/should.
