Last night was an adventure, and not the kind I love. I had issues with my heart, something that has happened before, and I ended up in A-Fib heart rhythm. The team here was all over it and got me back on track, very professional even though I was emotional and panicking. Per Dr.'s orders I stayed another day. Tonight is my last night and tomorrow I head home. I humbly ask for prayers that tonight is a healthy and uneventful night and that I awake healthy and ready to embark on my journey home. I'm homesick and want to hug (gently) my family. Thank you, Amanda Rae

I agree you should stick to your doc's diet plan. The postop healing diet serves a great purpose. Also, we've had this surgery for a reason. Our food addiction. And trying to eat stuff you shouldn't b4 you should is very possibly a symptom of that problem. Just me two cents. Btw, this is coming from the woman who watched her family eating homemade stir fry last night and contemplated licking the sauce off the spoon. I resisted, but it was hard. Amanda Rae

That feeling of security is important. When my heart started acting up in Mexicali they had me on an EKG in minutes and had the ER physician all over it. Then Dr. Campos came in right away even though it was close to midnight. That confirmed what I already knew. I made the right choice. Amanda Rae

Hooray! Mom and I made it home safe! We landed in Pittsburgh around 2AM and I made it home around 4:30am. Shower and then woke up around 2PM. Slept like a rock. I'm so happy to be home! Thank you all for the prayers and support! Amanda Rae

Released from hospital. Back in good health. Anxious as all get out though! Delay after delay. Blizzard in Denver. It seems to have passed over and hopefully we will finish out eastward journey today. My mom and I are praying extra hard for a safe/uneventful flight medically and weather. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers. Unfortunately the second leg of my journey was an event, but I believe all the prayers and support helped keep my mom and I strong... My heart started acting up right b4 takeoff. Had to stop take off and was taken to University Hospital in Aurora, CO. I've been released and I hoping and praying that we make it home today safe and healthy. Amanda Rae
