Dr. Aceves, Mexicali, and Me!

Cardiologist update: Rather than create a whole new thread I figured I'd just post it here. I saw my cardiologist today. Showed him all the prints and tapes from my heart acting up. He appreciated the data. He seems to think my weight, coupled with the stress of surgery pissed my heart off. He also thinks with the weight coming off it will work itself out. My heart is in sinus rhythm, as it should be. My pulse and bp are excellent. If my heart persists in being cantankerous we will explore procedures as needed... Now, how about some irony? I was stranded in Denver due to an SVT incident in my heart and then a blizzard. My cardiologist happened to be vacationing in Denver at that exact same time! What are the odds? :-) -

Plus we're kinda heavy and harder to carry off... -
It's hard to see how one can resort to WLS and not be addicted to food. I know I am. I found this paragraph on the web site referenced below. "The stages according to the Kubler Ross Model are – Denial, Anger, Grief, Bargaining, and Acceptance. These stages of grief parallel naturally to addiction." http://addictionjournal.net/?p=791

I'm barely a B anymore. I was a D before pregnancy... I never gain weight in my boobs.

I can relate to having to grease my hips to her in and out if the tub, and to being a human dam as well! Congrats on your successes!

You, specifically, are welcome... Are you being facetious? :-D

HUGE fight with the Hubster

It sounds like he raises valid points. What are you doing now to address your food addiction? The sleeve is permanent and there is potential for damage and complications if you overstuff your sleeve. -
I see my cardiologist today. My PCP checked my incisions. Did blood work. Checked my weight and vitals. Basically I am keeping him completely in the loop.

Btw, I'm craving the CRUNCH too. I'm on full liquids at this point to I blend ice in my protein shakes and I'm enjoying chewing my vitamins waaaaay more then I should. :-)

To tell or not to tell

Whether you tell or not is up to the individual, but i don't think you should lie. -

But don't they wonder and worry about why you're isolating yourself from them like you previously mentioned? They cannot be there for you 100%. They don't know how. Just my thoughts... -

Hooray for you. I'm glad your experience went so well. The lone bad thing about Mexicali? No ocean. -
$8750 in Mexicali with Dr. Aceves. Amazing care!

I speak freely about it and squash the naysayers with facts and statistics. -
