    Dr. Garcia vs. Dr. Aceves?

Good luck in your research. If there are any questions I can answer don't hesitate to ask. You will also find that Dr. Garcia has quite a following and there are plenty of his patients willing to help with questions and share experiences.
  2. I love Maxi-dresses. They're cute, comfy, and forgiving.

    Did you discuss your surgery?

I was very candid and open. I never defended my choice. I did share the info I discovered in my research. My family, friends, and coworkers have been wonderful support.
  4. I went to Dr. Aceves and was immensely pleased. That said, Dr. Garcia's reputation on here is great. His patients love him. I understand Florence Hospital is a fully equipped hospital but cannot say for sure. You should check with some recent patient accounts of the hospital.

    My MX VSG Experience

I'm glad your experience was so positive. It's detailed accounts like this which help other patients research and make decisions.
  8. Here on the Mx forum it hit the tab *stickies* is a web site link that has a list of surgeons that I believe have been reviewed by VST. I went with Dr. Aceves and was treated amazingly well. He is on that list. Many on here have used Dr. A. Ortiz at the OCC and are pleased with there care. Dr. Corvola trained many of the younger surgeons that are so popular now. Dr. Pompa... I was not sleeved by her but a lady who was sleeved by her was in Mexicali the same time I was to have her sleeve fixed by Dr. Aceves. She posted her story on here. Sleeved Twice is the title I think...

Addiction: It is a Slippery Slope...

My spending has potential to be a problem. If I let it.
  11. I am one of those who freely admit to having a food addiction/obsession. One thing I've noticed about myself postop. More so than usual, I've become fixated on my iPhone. I cannot stop fidgeting with it. I cannot binge. I'm avoiding all my trigger foods to keep losing and stay in ketosis. Sooooooo. Now more than ever b4, I grab my phone. I check VST. I check FB. I check email. Play a game. Put it back. Less than 30 seconds later I'm doing it again. To those who read this, you may dismiss me as being silly. Making mountains out of mole hills. I know this is a little thing, but I do believe addiction is a slippery slope. I think the constant fidgeting with my phone has become my food substitute. Am I the only one noticing this kind of thing, not necessarily this specifically, on some level?
