Do not drink 30 minutes before or 30 minutes after meals
AmandaRaeLeo replied to Rosa's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've eaten and/or drank too close together once or twice. It made me nauseous and gaggy. -

True that. As a fellow food addict I agree. -

I ate something heavy and I ate it fast. Needless to say, my stomach rejected it and I threw up. I've noticed there are small traces of red, blood I'm assuming, in the exiting contents of my stomach. Should I be alarmed? I have an email out to my surgeon but I wanted some feedback from here as well. I'm 9 weeks postop.

Leaving for Mexicali Tomorrow, Am I Missing Anything?
AmandaRaeLeo replied to Rockpaperthinner's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Once in Mexicali I didn't need much. I wouldn't have needed my unjury broth if not for the blizzard in Denver. I wouldn't have needed it if not for that. Dr. Aceves and team are great. I wish you all a great experience! -
I threw up as soon I awoke in recovery. Anesthesia does that to me. It was about as fun as throwing up can be... Not at all!

The blue dye test was pretty foul. The barium swallow wasn't pleasant in comparison.

My favorite response to people when they're being asinine is almost always the same: I'm sorry you feel that way. Nothing pisses people off more when you refuse to take their bait.

Wow. Just wow. Mind = boggled. Laura-ven, thank you for posting the facts and data supporting it. As I was reading the posts about chewing the food and spitting it out my mind was screaming "bad idea" even tho the food addict in me totally gets the appeal.

I kinda gave up on pop several years ago when I quit smoking. I have wondered about Alka-Seltzer Plus when I'm under the weather tho. I've tried their gelcaps but I prefer the effervescent tablets.

Does the sleeve cure your food addiction?
AmandaRaeLeo replied to Kcarr1120's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I almost didn't put myself out there, but I can only hope it helps put things in perspective. I even dream about food. -

Trace Amounts of Blood When Throwing Up
AmandaRaeLeo replied to AmandaRaeLeo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Today is a better day. I'm not going to beat myself up about it. I'm soothing my abused stomach with warm decaf green tea and taking it easy. Thank you! -
Trace Amounts of Blood When Throwing Up
AmandaRaeLeo replied to AmandaRaeLeo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you so much. I'm setting my brain at, "it's not a problem, its an opportunity." I am human, a work on progress.
