I would try scrambles eggs. I had a small amount at 12 days out and it worked out fine. -
I'd rather drink. Is this normal?
Mich grand replied to Jenny12's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know exactly what you are talking about. I did tell me surgeon that I feel so much better drinking the shakes and he said "so keep drinking them". I was soooo excited when he said that. Like you, I have a shake for breakfast and lunch and then try to eat a small (very small) meal for dinner. And with that small meal I am able to have a half shake before bed. I love my shakes. However I am dealing with a stall right now so I have been trying to stay away from the scale. I don't see the doc/nut til the end of the month so I will hang on till then. -

Feelings on Eating Fast Food (McDonald's) 7 weeks Post Op
Mich grand replied to ljmasterdebater's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am seven week out tomorrow and have lost 39 pounds. I would rather drink the protein shakes than eat solid food. I feel so much better drinking than eating anything. I have tried to eat slow and chew chew chew. But I still f eel terrible after eating. Kinda like it doesn't go all the way down. And I could throw it back up if I am not very careful. Any suggestions or must I live on protein shakes for the rest of my life. Hahaha. -

Mich grand replied to bcorder82's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I jus keep telling myself that I did not get like this over night. And it will take time to get to my goal. Hang in there. My sister took two years to reach her goal but now she is doing great and looks wonderful. Positive thought coming your way. -

Best bet is not to weigh yourself so often. I know it's hard but it is easier than the let down. -
I think it is all part of this whe thing. Just don't weigh yourself so often and one day that stall will break. I try to weigh only every two weeks maybe three.

Doing my best to avoid surgery
Mich grand replied to RiotGrrl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes-probably (most) everyone on this site. The only problem about doing it yourself is the "Regaining" lot the weight you lost. My dear friend lost over 125 pounds going to weight watchers. And now less that a year later he has out on 80% of that weight. Give him another 3 months and he will be heavier than when he started WW. So sad. -

Five things no one every told me how to deal with
Mich grand replied to janerose's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Thanks Becky. That will work too. I am really having trouble with mother in law. I have told her that hubby and I are on really struck diets. I still get a bunch of crap from her. For Christmas - she brought about 50 home made sugar cookies. I sent them to work with my daughter and some with her boyfriend. I get chastised every time I refuse a beer too. I asked her to be a little more supportive and got no comment. Any suggestions on what else I can do to this woman-I mean besides smacking her! Hahaha. Thanks for ANY help.
